The thing I've liked most about Bama under Saban...

...is that his teams really could not care less about the other teams momentum. I was just watching highlights of this past years Iron Bowl where the barn's only 2 scores were plays that can usually catapult a team on pure momentum. This team didn't care about any of that. Back to business as usual with the offense chocking up 5, 6, 7 yards at a time. The defense being relentless and suffocating. Everyone playing together as team, handling their own assignments and trusting their teammates to do the same. It's been like that since Saban got to Bama. Sure they've lost some games due to making untimely mistakes, but I can't really think of a game where a teams momentum beat Bama. Even in the 2010 Iron Bowl, that game was more about the mistakes Bama was making than the plays that the barn was able to pull out of nowhere.

Just had that on my mind for a while and thought I'd share it.

ROLL TIDE!

I've had the same thoughts. It doesn't really bother me any more. I've just started taking it for granted. Even when TX came up with that little surge, I had faith they'd do it one way or the other...

The only game the last four seasons where I ever helpless or beaten was that Utah Sugar Bowl. Otherwise it's been calm til the end.

Aint gonna lie Tennessee had me scared, Mark never fumbles and they had a good kicker

South Carolina in 2010. Yes, we made mistakes that day, but it seemed like they could do nothing wrong and it finally seemed to get to the team late in the second half.

Anyway, for the most part though, you are right. Saban's teams just simply do not get rattled.

The thing I like best about Bama under Saban is that, in my opinion, he has taken us from awful to the premier college football program in the country in a relatively short period of time while increasing graduation and honor roll rates, contributing greatly to the community, instilling values in young men, inspiring the entire athletic program, increasing athletic revenues....my goodness I could write a book.

There is absolutely nothing not to like about Bama since Saban has been here.

He is THE best leader in college athletics.

I believe you.

But believe it or not, I wasn't. That was just a magical year, and I thought we'd either block it or he'd miss it.

I admit I had some apprehension, but I had similar feelings. Their kicker wasn't a world-beater and he had a low, sometimes left, trajectory. In fact, didn't Terrence block one with his bellybutton, with JJ about five feet behind and above him?

If TC had not of blocked the kick Julio would have swallowed the football. His hands were at least 13 feet high. I don't have the ability to attach the photo but I now understand why he kicked butt in the vertical leap and standing long jump at the NFL combine.

Agreed. Everything seems to be looking up. Did I mention FOUR National Championships this past year?
