1. We got better by a better prepared tonight
2. Brodie is scared back there - who can blame him
3. We look worst today than anytime this year - Prothro or Closner would not have helped
4. No, the refs are not paid to throw flags against us - mentally we were out of sink(?)
5. I am proud of the team - and disappointed at the same time.
6. We need an Offensive Coordinator
7. We are not the #8 team in the country
8. I am excited to see JPW out there - got the ability to move out of the pocket
9. Darby will stay - were is he going to go - NFL? Please
10. My Christmas wish - a good recruiting class and a bottle of crown royal

The truth is we are not as good as we thought. True, the defense this year was great, but as a team, we were just average. The wins over Florida and Tennessee were great, but also in saying that, I do not believe they are close to their normal strength(see Vols record). I think as a whole, the SEC was down this year, and as much as I don't want to believe it, the SEC is not the best conference this year. On most years we are, but this year was not the year of the SEC. Bottom line, the wins over Florida, Tennessee and the undefeated record, our expectations were raised to a new level. Honestly, we are not ready to go to the next level until we are running on all cylinders(offense, defense, and special teams). Dang, I don't believe we have attempted to return a punt in two games. So, in saying all of this, I am happy to be 9-2 this year, it is much more than I expected. We all know were we need to improve and hopefully CMS sees the same things. So until the bowl game and next year.... Roll Tide...

Nah, we don't need our own Al Borges. We're doing great.

3 touchdowns in 5 SEC games! Steve Spurrier, eat your heart out.

Seriously, if CMS would hire a great OC he would be set. We're 3 years into the Rader/Shula system, and our offense is the worst in the league.

Vanderbilt fields a much more potent offense than Alabama. Isn't there something wrong with this picture?

How bad does our offense have to be to warrant concern?

Vandy would probably beat us right now.

i cant believe the calling out of the offensive coordinator. i dont see how anyone can judge his game plan base on brodie being sacked 11 times in a football game. that is outrageous. we are suppose to be a major college football program. i doubt a single opponent of auburn this year was sacked that many times. i realize our offensive line is not very good, but today they would have to be classified the worst i have seen in my 50 years of watching college football. i know the young men are doing the best they can, and i dont understand how they are doing so poorly, they are bad tackle to tackle. how is that possible. if i called for anybodys head it would have to be the off line coach. we have as good a running back as there is in the sec, what good is it doing us. we had brodie back, so what, he has been harassed against every good team we played this year. the line has gotten worse with each game. then i have to look forward to next year with the same guys. i rather not. we need a new coach, and philosophy, as well as tough tackles.

Why does it seem like all the "doom and gloom" are from posters with a low post count  :p

Because they don't bother to do anything accept B & M about everything. I guess this is their outlet! If we only won half of our games that we did they would have double the posts! :p

Maybe the Mods should make a gameday rule.....

Only people with over 300 posts can post on a game day.

I think that this is all dead on accurate, except #9. Darby is really looking good. He's twice as good as Irons. See our OL problems and then look at the stat sheet.

I loved the adjustments at the half.. . here is the team that I picked to go 6-6 and now 9-2 ... ROLL TIDE

Execellent Season, and JPW looked strong! I see nothing to be sad about!

Well, we win some, we lose some, and sometimes (be it rare) we have our butts handed to us in the 1st qtr. As much as I hate the phrase "going forward"...with a couple of exceptions Coach Shula and his staff and the 2005 Alabama Crimson Tide did have a season to be proud of. The problems will be addressed and corrective actions will be taken. The future is even brighter than it has been in several years. The competition in the SEC is only going to get tougher. I don't consider myself qualified to "armchair coach", but for goodness sake we need an offensive coach that can see what will work and what won't when there are obvious problems with the o-line. Good grief, we're lucky Brody didn't get seriously injured by the Awbs. Where in the world was the use of talent the likes of J Johns today? A little imagination from Rader could have possibly taken us a long way today, folks.

Speaking as one of the "low posters"

who apparently spends the entire time on here b******g and moaning, at least according to ldlane, maybe some of us low posters have other things to do like jobs that keep us from posting over a thousand times. And maybe we posters of that ilk are so frustrated by an offfensive line that has not only not gotten better as the season progressed but probably could not have effectively blocked Hoover High School yesterday that we wonder when that situation is going to be rectified one way or the other, whatever it takes.

At least you take time to do the little things in life. BTW - Thanks for getting my name correct! ldlane and not Idlane!
