If he's projected to be a 1st round pick he'd be nuts to stay.
TBF, in today's climate of "start me and pay me or I'm outty" Ty has shown to be "nuts" and different than most. At the end of the day I get the feeling that he has dreamed of being in this position for quite sometime and may just want to do it another time if we don't win it all this year. Leaving the Capstone as the starting QB is pretty awesome but leaving Title Town with a championship ring puts you in legendary status and Ty seems to be the type that gets that. I would think if we win it this year it increases his odds of leaving. If he's projected to be a 1st round pick he'd be nuts to stay.
My gut tells me Ty will be back next year…not because he couldn’t go in the first round.
Not necessarily with NILI don't think he will. It would be a terrible business decision with a lot of inherent risk for not much gain. Much stronger quarterback class next year along with the possibility of injury.
He is fighting a nagging injury apparently.I would’ve expected a talented, but still first year starter to be getting better each week. Lately he seems to be regressing. A month ago I was quite confident he could carry us into the playoffs and even win a game or two. Now….unfortunately nothing will surprise me, He could be great….or…..
If he is drafted in the 1st round, Ty will go to the NFL.My gut tells me Ty will be back next year…not because he couldn’t go in the first round.

The 32nd player taken in the draft last year got $14.7mm with a $7.3mm signing bonus. Not necessarily with NIL

No way Ty makes anywhere near that next year in NIL, and if he’s chosen top 10 you’re talking closer to $30mm/$15mm.
Mack seems to be next man upAlright nvm. He can go pro. I want to see Keelon lol. That kid just flashes special
After performances by Ty the last 3-4 games, it seems apparent to me that he’s not 1st round draft material. The 5-6 games prior to that, yeah, I would have said he is.
Which Ty Simpson do we have? What should we expect for the Iron Bowl, which could turn into his “showcase” of skill under pressure, especially should we not win?
