Tigerdroppings blog article on the refs......

This guy mentioned that the SEC Office possibly uses "scheduling" to try and create a championship games scenario of their choice. Yeah right.

Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and LSU in a four game stretch.

Definitely a scheduling conspiracy aimed in the Tides favor.

Gimme a break.

sip

Not to mention the amount of teams on our schedule each year that have bye weeks before they play us.

I honestly believe that some corndogs (apologies to our conrndog friends here on TF...I think they're great) can't accept reality that their football team is inferior to Alabama once again. If they didn't win the game, there must be someone to blame. I honestly think #15 should be thanking his lucky stars for the referees. He gave up both of the TD passes Saturday and looked horrible doing it. Why aren't the LSU fans blaming him for this loss?

BTW, does anyone else find Les Miles' statements at his press conferences a little weird? “I don’t know if this is the right time to look strongly into the future,” Miles said. What the hell does that even mean? :D

Less Miles

Setting aside the fact that we had many missed calls, even if it was obvious there was no interception, they'd claim they only lost because 3/4's of their starting line-up was injured.

That's when I quickly remind the corndogs that they didn't have to face Dont'a Hightower on Satuday...

Does anyone have a picture of the blatant pass interference on Julio when he was headed toward the student section? Maybe a pic of the "running into the kicker" that I personally think should have been roughing? Either way, we got the first down because we went for it, but still. There were blown calls on both sides. I have still yet to see the interception that wasn't called, but from everyone I have heard, it was a catch. But also, as was stated, no one has yet to say if that would have changed the game. Every call has the chance of changing the game and there were at least 3 or 4 blown calls.

The corndogs on that site have a comprehenive listing of all the penalties they say should have been called. I am sure you could try to find it on there. But then again they wouldn't show any penalties LSwho might have committed.

Funny how they want to cry about the ref's when after they played UGA they defended the call and said it was UGA's responsibilty to stop them so now that the shoe is on the other foot now we are cheating??????? LMAO......... What a bunch of sore losers, it was lswho's job to stop us even if it was a bad call right??????????

I look forward to many more years of their getting out-gained by 200 yards, gaining 9 yards on 4 minutes TOP in the fourth, being down 23 first downs to 13 and blaming the loss on the refs. THEY GOT THEIR BUTTS BEAT. And they were damned lucky even to have an outside shot late in the game. Yes, I think this could become an annual affair...

I thought LSU must have been one of the co-conspirators after they "beat" UGA. All they had to do was to keep winning after they were handed that game and we'd be on the outside looking in at them.

Oops, I forgot. They had UF on their schedule which would make it impossible for 2 undefeated teams to meet in the SECCG. Hmmmm....

I heard there was a shortage of aluminum foil in louisiana and the trailer park on the the plains. I think all this is somehow connected.

ROFKASLMFAO

Dear Jesus,
It pained me deeply to read that thread. One even complained about a 'ghost' pass interference called on Peterson. I truly wonder if they were watching the same game that I was. I didn't think it was possible, but it appears that my long held belief that Awwburn fans were the worst, has been scientifically proven to be a false hypothesis. Unfortunately my DVR deleted the game this afternoon to make room for more NCIS, or I would sit down and make a complete unbiased list of questionable calls and non calls, then make a youtube video of every one of them, put them on a balance scale and see who came out on top.

What he said!!!

I also noted that there were a lot of "missed" holding calls against LSWho - just like 10rc.....:conf3:

Well...... while watching the replay last night I noticed a lot of "missed" holding calls on both sides.

I agree.
The refs seemed to be letting a lot of stuff go since the very public reprimand and suspension ordeal of the officials.
I've noticed this for a few games now, not just in this one, and not just our games.

Agreed,
Starting to look like an NBA game, with all the non called travelling, etc. Not only were their non-called holding penalties, there was a ton of blocking and shoving people in the back

The worst thing about all this is that no one is thinking of the long-term ramifications. We all know this talk is bogus, but with people running their mouths like this, it's a big black eye on the SEC. If their team turns it around next season, the national media already has this conspiracy garbage in their head.

It won't do anything to hurt Bama or UF. We're at the top of the polls, and we're going to stay there as long as we keep winning. It's just how the polls work today. Who this hurts is next year's surprise team that might go 12-1 and need help to get in to the BCS national championship game. That could be you, Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee.

I'm still in shock after reading that article. I'm even deeper in shock (and probably down a significant amount of brain cells) after reading 5 pages of responses to that dribble.

What's amazing to me is that they can harp on the officiating and support the theory of some supposed conspiracy to back UA/UF without presenting any proof. UA and UF have bye weeks before LSU. Your point? FOUR different teams have bye weeks before playing UA this year -- sure looks like the SEC is favorably scheduling Bama, eh?

In addition, the call that doesn't seem to be getting a ton of traction in the media is the blown call on the Jasper punt. I saw it live (and again and again on replay) when the ball hit the LSU player's leg at the 4 1/2 yard line, only to have the ref drop the bean bag at the six-inch line. The result? A weird intentional grounding call and 2 points for LSU.

And about that intentional grounding call. Didn't anyone other than me notice the presence of Mark Ingram, a running back and eligible receiver, about five feet away from where the ball landed? Seriously? Now don't get me wrong; Julio should have caught the previous ball, which would have made this a moot point. However, I can't get past this play, which not only gave the Tiggers a couple of points but also fantastic field position at the forty yard line.

Is anybody else picking up what I'm puttin' down?

I'm picking it up but I'd make this point: LSU lost, so their "missed" calls are more amplified. They are looking for excuses as to why they lost instead of realizing the cold hard truth of what TIDE-HSV said; they got pummeled and were lucky they were even in the game at that point. If GMAC connects on two of those WIDE open td passes, we win 38 or so to 13/14. As it was we nearly doubled their yardage and first downs and completely dominated the 4th quarter.

I know this feeling and they should to. They routinely used to administer it to us. And there were bad calls back then too which favored them. Witness 2004 (Keith Brown tackled in the endzone) and 2007 (Matt Caddell catch overturned on replay).
