Aw, Cat, I didn't know you felt that way.
There can only be one RedStar![]()
This guy mentioned that the SEC Office possibly uses "scheduling" to try and create a championship games scenario of their choice. Yeah right.
Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and LSU in a four game stretch.
Definitely a scheduling conspiracy aimed in the Tides favor.
Gimme a break.
sip
Setting aside the fact that we had many missed calls, even if it was obvious there was no interception, they'd claim they only lost because 3/4's of their starting line-up was injured.
Does anyone have a picture of the blatant pass interference on Julio when he was headed toward the student section? Maybe a pic of the "running into the kicker" that I personally think should have been roughing? Either way, we got the first down because we went for it, but still. There were blown calls on both sides. I have still yet to see the interception that wasn't called, but from everyone I have heard, it was a catch. But also, as was stated, no one has yet to say if that would have changed the game. Every call has the chance of changing the game and there were at least 3 or 4 blown calls.
They sound like losers. The corndogs on that site have a comprehenive listing of all the penalties they say should have been called. I am sure you could try to find it on there. But then again they wouldn't show any penalties LSwho might have committed.
I heard there was a shortage of aluminum foil in louisiana and the trailer park on the the plains. I think all this is somehow connected.
I look forward to many more years of their getting out-gained by 200 yards, gaining 9 yards on 4 minutes TOP in the fourth, being down 23 first downs to 13 and blaming the loss on the refs. THEY GOT THEIR BUTTS BEAT. And they were damned lucky even to have an outside shot late in the game. Yes, I think this could become an annual affair...
What he said!!!
I also noted that there were a lot of "missed" holding calls against LSWho - just like 10rc.....:conf3:
Well...... while watching the replay last night I noticed a lot of "missed" holding calls on both sides.
I agree.
The refs seemed to be letting a lot of stuff go since the very public reprimand and suspension ordeal of the officials.
I've noticed this for a few games now, not just in this one, and not just our games.
Was anyone else banned from this site last Saturday night?:biggrin2:
I'm still in shock after reading that article. I'm even deeper in shock (and probably down a significant amount of brain cells) after reading 5 pages of responses to that dribble.
What's amazing to me is that they can harp on the officiating and support the theory of some supposed conspiracy to back UA/UF without presenting any proof. UA and UF have bye weeks before LSU. Your point? FOUR different teams have bye weeks before playing UA this year -- sure looks like the SEC is favorably scheduling Bama, eh?
In addition, the call that doesn't seem to be getting a ton of traction in the media is the blown call on the Jasper punt. I saw it live (and again and again on replay) when the ball hit the LSU player's leg at the 4 1/2 yard line, only to have the ref drop the bean bag at the six-inch line. The result? A weird intentional grounding call and 2 points for LSU.
And about that intentional grounding call. Didn't anyone other than me notice the presence of Mark Ingram, a running back and eligible receiver, about five feet away from where the ball landed? Seriously? Now don't get me wrong; Julio should have caught the previous ball, which would have made this a moot point. However, I can't get past this play, which not only gave the Tiggers a couple of points but also fantastic field position at the forty yard line.
Is anybody else picking up what I'm puttin' down?
