Tim Tebow Updates: Tebow?/ Tebow ESPN Documentary? (Merged)

Anybody want to bet that Tebow winds up dissing both Bama and UF...and signs with Southern Cal? :conf2:

Does anyone know the scoop on this kid named Smelley from American Christian. He has thrown for 134 TD so far (57 this year alone).

He has led his school to 10-0 records in 2002, 2003, & 2004. They are in the class 1A championships this week in Birmingham.

I'll take that bet. How much?

BTW, his top 5 are Bama, UF, USC, LSU, and Michigan.

He threw for 3400 yards and 38 TDs as a Junior.

They just got beat by Brantley in the semifinals this past weekend 43-31. He had over 3500 passing yards and 56 TDs going into the game. He went 30-53 for 563 yards and 3 TDs with 5 INTs in that game.

From what I've read, he wants to come to the Capstone pretty bad. If we get Tebow, he will go elsewhere. Looks like he likes Bama, Louisville, South Carolina, and Ole Miss.

The last I heard on Smelley he was getting rushed hard by Spurrier. I'm guessing he'll commit to SC if Bama gets Tebow.

USC is the one school Tebow could attend, and not play until he is a senior.

The kid USC landed last year was (according to Rivals) the best QB recruit in a decade.

I think Ole Miss is out for Smelley (JMO). They already have two QB commits. And I just don't see Louisville grabbing him either. It will be Bama or South Carolina, and it will swing on Tim Tebow.

And that kid (Sanchez) won't even be playing next year. It will be John David Booty.

Here are some Tebow comments from a couple of weeks ago that I had not seen before. His comments toward Bama seem more enthusiastic than the others ... or that could just be my wishful thinking ...

"I really like Alabama," Tebow said. "The coaching staff is great and they are more than just coaches. I love those guys as people. I always love being around them. I respect them and really like them. They are just a great staff. Plus, Alabama has so many great things about the school, the tradition, the talent, the athletes and they (the fans) just love Alabama football.

"A lot of the same things can be said about LSU. They are very similar to Alabama. Coach (Les) Miles and Coach (Jimbo) Fisher are terrific. They have great facilities and maybe the best that I have seen. LSU is great people and I like them a lot."

Tebow will visit Michigan (Nov. 19) this weekend, then Florida (Nov. 26) and go to Southern Cal (Dec. 3) for his fifth and final official visit.

"I went to Michigan last year for an unofficial visit and I really enjoyed it," Tebow said. "I love what they do with quarterbacks, the coaches are great and they have a super program.

"Coach (Urban) Meyer and his staff care so much about their kids at Florida. I love that. I also know how hard they work and they are recruiting so well. They don't have all the players they need but they will soon and Florida will get to the next level.

"USC is a school I am still learning about and it's the only school that I have not been to. In a short time I have built a good relationship with the coaches there. I want to go out there and get to know them better and see what they are all about.

"It is down to those five schools and I will take a strong look at everyone."

On another note, does anybody know how many visits Tebow has made to Bama (both official and unofficial) and other schools?

Did Tim's parents not make it clear that they wanted him to go to a school where they could go and see him play? That sounds to me like USC and Michigan would be out of the picture because parents usually have a huge influence on their kid's choice.

Tebow made 3 visits to T-town, including his official....

I don't think those visits were the first that Tebow had thought of Bama. I either remember seeing it on here a couple years ago or I dreamed it, hearing about a sophmore QB who played with a current wide receiver Will Oakley. Seems I remember seeing a pic of Tebow wearing a Bama T-shirt and Will being his best friend or something. Was I dreaming or just wasted? :conf3:
