The story isn’t any better in Auburn either, whose seen 5x increase in cases.

This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, I mean this is what everyone wanted, right. You’d have to be an idiot to think schools and colleges could open without people getting sick. Folks were actively pushing to reopen everything therefore, this is exactly what they wanted.

How high does the number have to get before we end this pointless charade? People want life to “get back to normal” but, life ain’t normal right now. Trying to force it is killing people.

I would like to understand what the new positives on campus means in term of severity. Is this straining the medical resources ? How are the positives being impacted ? Yes, I understand they can infect others and the long term impact on them is not yet fully understood, but I wish someone would tell us how sick are they at this point.

All students living in Burke West have to be out by Wednesday. UA needs more room for quarantine.

A fair question.

Did 500 students get put into the hospital? Did any?

Did they all contract the virus at school? How many brought it with them and would still be giving to others if they were not at school?

It's not nearly so simple as, well we came to school now 500+ students have it, hope you're happy.

Over a third were students. The remainder were prof’s and staff. No info on how many are hospitalized, at home or no symptoms.
there are hundreds if not thousands only have some or no symptoms nation wide.
My coworker tested positive. Had a cold andcough. These are the statistics you don’t hear. Why is that? Easy answer. This “pandemic”was created By knee jerk reactions worldwide. Don’t believe me, do some research all the way back to January thru today.

this situation has dampened my enthusiasm for the upcoming season. I cant seem to get excited about it. i guess part of that is knowing i wont be there for any games. Would love to see it work out however people are selfish at times. Pro sports are able to take better measures so i feel like there is a great chance of the NFL getting through a season. Maybe once the SEC schedule gets rolling, the juices will start back flowing

I feel exactly the same way about the upcoming season. Too many distractions, too much emphasis on the politics of the corona virus, and certainly the possibility of increasing positive COVID-19 cases and deaths throughout the country. I hope none of this comes to pass and then, as you said, maybe my enthusiasm will pick up.

I think this situation has heightened my enthusiasm...We NEED football more now as a distraction than ever before...I fully understand where you're coming from...I'm just on the other side of the road...and I'm moving fast!!! Let's Go!!! RTR!!!

I am not excited about it yet as I still see a chance of the rug being pulled out from under our feet. But if there is a season, I will be all in.
