A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive drinking of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.
That's why you're always smarter after a few beers.
My personal fave from CCC.You didn't credit Clifford Clavin with the quote.
My personal fave from CCC.
"It's a little known fact that smartest animal is a pig. Scientists say if pigs had thumbs and a language, they could be trained to do simple manual labor. They give you 20-30 years of loyal service and then at their retirement dinner you can eat them."
Interesting fact about John Ratzenberger... He's the fifth highest grossing "actor" of all time (source), primarily due to his work with Pixar.
I'm a fan of Robert A. Heinlein:
"There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him."
"The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire."
Grok that?

My favorite from Heinlein:
"The meek shall inherit the earth  in plots about six feet by three."
Gotta watch out for those paper cuts!!What kind of uh, hazards are you most concerned with? I work in an office now, and while the level of risk is a tenth of what it was working on aircraft the safety office representation seems to be ten times what it was when the job was dangerous. It has gotten ridiculous:

I know that it is generally attributed to him, and certainly sounds like him talking to Norm, but from what I could find out, that is an urban legend. You didn't credit Clifford Clavin with the quote.

I could find no reference to what episode it came from or where it came from in the first place.
saw it on a church sign 20+ years ago when I was in college and feeling sorry for myself about some things that had gone wrong recently:
"Hard times make you bitter or better...and you get to decide which one."
It was exactly what I needed to see and is a motto I employ even now with great personal satisfaction.

Mi diablo, mi amigo
But I’ve built up so much character
I have an alter ego
And I have to make a clean break
And I have to do it quick
’Cause the pain you give me, babe
Would make Cal Ripken call in sick
