Top Running Back Schools

Now this link makes me a little mad. They have SMU rated(two good running backs), but not Bama.

I have to agree and my biggest issue is that ALABAMA has had some great ones but yet they still get over looked in the long run by most people Nation wide!!!!!

I agree that Bama isn't at the top of the list, but they must be smoking something to say that we aren't even in the top 20. We've had three first team All-American caliber backs in Shaun, Humphrey, and Musso. There have been some other greats as in Stacy, Shaud Williams, Sherman Williams, Riddle, Lassic, Moore, Davis, Nathan, Galloway, Beard, Olglvie, Turner, Wilbur Jackson, and Kerry Goode. I am sure that I am leaving some out. I would put these backs up against almost any other school's.

Look it. The list is wacked in a few places but here is a fact.

Alabama could have had quite a number of Heisman trophy winners over time if that was our focus. Let me explain. Look at these teams like Neb, OU, Texas, barn et.al. These teams build their teams around one player. Ricky Williams this way, Bo left, Bo right, Charles White prolly averaged 40 carries a game. You get the picture. Alabama on the other hand, over the years, has demonstrated team play. Backs are rotated and for the most part have to wait their turn to get a shot at playing as a starter.
Does anyone really think that if, say, Bobby Humphry got the ball 40 or 45 times a game he wouldnt have stood taller than he did? Musso? Nathan?
How bout Shaun A. What if almost every play he get the football?
So while polls like this bother us a bit concider this, I wouldnt trade one sec championship, one national championship or even a bowl victory to be on this list or any like it. We are ALABAMA and we ARE the standard when it comes to what matters.. Championships.
