I will say this…tOSU is absolutely FREAKING LOADED! B1GTide, if they don’t win a title this year Ryan Day is a GONER!!! No way they let him waste another bunch of NFL 1st Rounders. They have also spent a MINT and are still going!!!
Gonna laugh so hard if Day gets fired at the end of the year and Downs has to search for more “important relationships”.

FWIW:

John Talty: Feel confident saying that Julian and the family intended/wanted to stay and this is driven much more by DeBoer and staff than by Julian. Unfortunate situation because I'm a huge believer in Julian's talents and think he's going to be a star.

Tom Loy: This. He wanted to stick it out initially and then well, things went south. Shocked to be honest. Sayin is the real deal. I think the new staff will regret this one. Just my opinion.

I'm also of the opinion we have to move on. If the new staff didn't want Sayin, he ain't stayin.
Hope this isn’t true. I’m a fan of the new coach…. but wouldn’t agree with this at all.

I think it says that when we're good, we're really good. When we're not......well, if I did the math correct, those seasons without the big dogs at the helm netted 5.2 wins per season. I bet lots of the early seasons didn't have many games though.

I'm sure it took a while from 1892 before things were standardized (I choose 1892 because that was Alabama's first season). But there were 9 game regular seasons until the 1940s, I think. Maybe 1950s. Then it became 10. Then it went to 11 in the 1970s.

Downs to tOSU, huh? I love this.

1. Serves old Kirby right, bringing in Trob to land him, then it backfires.

2. Serves Trob right after turning down a better job. Shows that he wasn’t what attracted Downs in the first place.

3. It’s the best place for him to land to not do us any damage. Day has already proven he can’t do much with talent. He’s the Jimbo Fisher of the B1G.

Edit: Alright, a bit of exaggeration on #3, he’s done very well.

Things can always change, but Ryan Day has wasted more talent than Les MIles, though Day is a better coach. I thought Day was going to be a great coach but his teams have proven to be physically and mentally weak.

I read a quote from Day a couple of, maybe 4, years ago where he stated that everything that OSU did was with beating Alabama in mind. It looks like his focus or obsession with Alabama, if still true, has caused him to make some bad decisions. Though O'Brien is not as bad as many charge, IMO, there are many better choices for OC. Downs is a great player, Sayin may be. Seth was toast at Alabama, maybe turning the page will help him, or just better coaching. Judkins is a cancer. Now there is not much fear of OSU, even with all of their talent, because of Day. His play-calling late vs UGA was criminal. They didn't even need to make any plays, just run the ball a few more times and DON'T GET SACKED, then kick the short-med FG. You knew their kicker was going to miss the unnecessarily long FG, just like you knew Reichard would miss vs UT and A&M & AU. Those two teams were 8 year old girls mentally.
