Trouble with Vandy?

Will Vandy present any challenge? I think it will be a blowout. The Dores QB is very athletic, but he was running for his life. Nice way to begin your career as a starter, opening up in a loud, hostile environment 2 weeks in a row.
UA wins big with ground game and speedy, blitzing D. UA:42 at least VANDY:17 at the most.

Historically Vandy has always played us close and while they are not as competitive as last year they will give us all we want. In spite of a serious lack of talent they are well coached and will play for 60 minutes. Their QB is the type QB who usually gives our defense fits, makes some big plays and keeps drives alive on broken plays. In the end though I believe we will win but again, not convincingly. Would think somewhere in the 6-10 point range.

Correction...Vandy usually plays for about 45 to 50 minutes. Just ask anyone who went to school there.

I hope you are right but many were predicting a "blow out" against UH. If we get a "comfortable" lead I expect to see CMS get subs plenty of playing time which might allow for Vandy to score. I'd be pleasantly surprised to see a true "blow out".

I don't believe it will be a blow out. We hardly ever blow them out. Nickson is going to be very good but he isn't there yet. We've got too much on both lines of scrimmage for Vandy to handle. I'm inclined to agree with the Harmon forecast on this one, somewhere around 23-13.

I think that Vandy may be a better team than Hawaii. I think that the Tide will win, but not by a blow-out.

Why not? We haven't shown the ability to put a team away since the Gators last season. (I don't count Utah State.) Until we find a killer instinct, we can't presume any easy SEC wins.

I believe we have some depth finally, albeit young. (and hopefully hungry for playing time!) I think having some competition for PT has to help us as the season progresses.

Vandy may play UGA, UT and UF for 45 to 50 minutes but they will play Alabama for a full 60 minutes. Vandy no longer has any fear of Alabama.
