Massie falls in that category too.Even more hilarious, one of the FEW people in congress who actually reads all legislation and understands it is Rand Paul, who is not a lawyer and never has been.

I'll be honest, I fell for that "Trump is not a politician" cliché back in 2016. It made perfect sense to me at the time. Hell, I might have even voted for him had he been running as an independent and wasn't so obnoxious behind a microphone. However, anyone who has been paying attention now knows that Trump absolutely IS a politician. Not only that, he's shockingly good at it. (And that is not praise of Trump, but an indictment of American politics.)It's funny to me how "Trump isn't a politician" is the cliche' right up until the moment he gets caught lying ridiculously - and then the very people who say "he's not a politician" want to hide behind "ALL politicians do that". How convenient!
All three companies were founded by entrepreneurs who have been major political supporters of Trump.
Of course they are. Corruption at its finest.

Trump fits right in with the lies and exaggerated claims. It's true that something does seem different about him from the rest, but I think that has more to do with his personality.
There is a difference between a country that is majority Muslim and an Islamist country.
And that difference would be?There is a difference between a country that is majority Muslim and an Islamist country.
An Islamist is a person who advocates or supports Islamism, a political ideology that seeks to implement Islamic principles through Sharia law, in governance and societal structures. Unlike “Islamic or Muslim,†which broadly describes the religion of Islam or its cultural aspects, “Islamist†specifically refers to those who believe Islam should actively shape political systems, prioritizing religious law over secular frameworks. And that difference would be?
Ah, so an Islamist is roughly the same as a Christian Nationalist--Got it.An Islamist is a person who advocates or supports Islamism, a political ideology that seeks to implement Islamic principles through Sharia law, in governance and societal structures. Nice deflection from the answer.Ah, so an Islamist is roughly the same as a Christian Nationalist--Got it.
Regardless, it was a stupid thing for Vance to say.
Yes, you offered a new definition. But that's all you did--you didn't link your new definition to the discussion.Nice deflection from the answer.
This is where we've gotten as a society and government. What used to be done under the table and behind the scenes is now being done right in front of everybody.
Q: “If that was wrong, why are you considering changing the tax status of Harvard?â€Â
Trump: “Because I think Harvard is a disgrace…Tax-exempt status is a privilege…it’s been abused.â€Â
And now, he is evidently thinking of revoking the tax exempt status of relatively small groups he sees as being against him rather than just universities. I'm sure he will not think of doing it to white supremacist groups registered as such. And there are definitely a LOT of those.Roughly translated, "Because I'm MAD at them!"
