Trump's Policies XI

I wake up this morning to find Rubio saying that we knew Israel was going to attack Iran and we knew that Iran would attack our bases as a result. As a result if we didn't attack preemptively we would suffer many more casualties. Trump said we were not going to attack their oil storage facilities but Israel did anyway. Appears that israel is the tail that wags the giant dog! Oil infrastructure attacked all over the middle east.

The result energy prices up and up. Transportation cost drive inflation and the global economy slows dramatically.

i guess d.o.g.e. missed this

Trump lies: "There's not a country in the world that does mail in ballots anymore. They tried it ... there's no elections so corrupt as the elections in the United States of America. And we can solve them."

No president has lied as much or come close to the level of corruption and gross incompetence as Trump.

so, i guess d.o.g.e. just missed this part

Some of the frivolous September purchases made under Secretary Pete Hegseth’s stewardship include a $98,329 Steinway & Sons grand piano for the Air Force chief of staff’s home, $5.3 million for Apple devices such as the new iPad, and an astronomical amount of shellfish, including $2 million for Alaskan king crab and $6.9 million worth of lobster tail. (Lobster tail is apparently a favorite of Hegseth’s Pentagon—the department spent more than $7.4 million total on the luxury item in March, May, June, and October.)

In other pricey food purchases, the government decided to drop $15.1 million for ribeye steak (again, just in September), $124,000 for ice cream machines, and $139,224 on 272 orders of doughnuts.
-------

In the last five days of September alone, the department blew through $50.1 billion on just grants and contracts. For context, only nine other countries spend that much on the entirety of their defense budget per year. It’s also more than the total military budgets of Canada and Mexico combined.

I think this has been posed here before but...if the wild conspiracy theory about Trump being a Russian plant or controlled operative were true, how would his actions differ from what we've seen?

Hey, that’s talking about feeding rich people. DOGE existed to take food away from really poor folks. It’s apples and oranges (though starving people can’t have those either).

Man, lobster and crab prices have gotten out of hand.

Remember all those huff and puff headlines about Trump tearing into all of the Ivy League schools and bringing them to heel?

Unsurprisingly, he's excellent at headlines and terrible at delivering anything sustainable.
Tabloid Don!

But the aggressive pace that won the administration so many early victories eventually proved to be its great weakness. The government could move so quickly only by skipping almost all of the procedural steps required by federal law. Once universities and their allies recovered from their shock and challenged the Trump administration, they were able to block many, if not most, of the White House’s moves in court.

Trump fears a witness chair in court for the same reason bologna fears a slicer.

He's also screwing up the World Cup and not just because of ICE.

See......DHS usually covers a lot of the security costs, and they're not funded right now.

And oh yeah......it's not like Foxborough, MA is a huge city, and they're not happy about getting told they have to take an IOU that they might never get.

:)
