Turf at B-DS

Well not that I am a lawn guy, but why not dig down as far as we can, french drain it, and bring in new soil and replant..... Worse case bring back Forrest Gump...lol... He can manage it for free...:biggrin:

For those that don't remember the artificial turf, the temp in BDS went down 15-20 degrees when they replaced it with real grass. And that was just for the fans in the stands. Sometimes it would be 130 on the field.

Dude Field turf... Astro turf... Artificial turf is to hot in the fall and causes to many leg,knee,ankle,foot and toe injuries.
That's why @ BDS Alabama Ripped up the Artificial crap in the early 90's.

Isn't it good that the grass is a topic of discussion. What were we discussing three years ago at this time?!!

Actually, maybe it was only two years ago, or maybe three... everyone was complaining because they had dumped truckloads of sand on the field... it looked like a beach when the players ran on it. Shula was coach then, and he said that a lot of fieds were sand-based.

I agree that it seems like BDS should be the finest and we could and should do better. Maybe Saban will get the grounds keepers involved in a process...
