ADMIN NOTE: Two New Mods...

[THE ADMIN STAFF]

We'd like to announce the addition of two new moderators - SavannahDare and Bamabuzzard (couldn't get him to change his username). They will be old and familiar names and personas to regular members. They will be logging in later to fill in some personal details to familiarize some of our newer members. Please treat them as gently as you treat the rest of us staff.

I kid, I kid.....

Let's see, about me...I'm a 40 year old wife (of a barner no less!) and mother of two little girls. Graduated from UA far too many years ago ('90), then into the Navy for what seemed like forever, now a civilian on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A Southerner, born & bred, with family and friends all over the Deep South, but my Dad and brothers are in Puerto Rico (go figure).

I've somehow managed to gain a modicum of trust from the "real" bosses around here, and for that I am flattered and grateful. I guess not being a frou-frou girlie girl has paid off.

I look forward to helping out in any way I can. Anyone can feel free to PM me any time with questions or concerns, or just to say "hey."

And in my opinion, the hidden gem on TideFans.Com is Simon Bott. He stays quiet and in the shadows, but he's been awesome for me personally over the years in getting me copies of games. To entice these new moderators to come on board, we quadrupled the pay from that of the older mods...(remember SavannahDare IS a doctor...

Seriously, the occasional THANK YOU from our members is really appreciated by the mods and I want thank those who do that often. It also keeps me awake many nights trying to make this the best site possible.

It's good to see that walk-ons have a chance here on tidefans. Congrats to the SD & BB for their dedication and hard work that earned them playing time and a full ride. Let these two be examples to all tidefan members that with hard work and the ability not to get banned, warned or scolded that anything is possible. Congrats.

Congratulations to all of the new mods and a big continuous "Thanks!" to all of the old timer mods for all y'all do for us here at the greatest site on the web.

I would like to suggest (or make a motion :biggrin that the mods do some sort of "behind the scenes" thread in the near or not so distant future, to allow us "nobodies" a glimpse into the life and duties of a tidefans moderator. Just a thought! Congratulations, thanks, and lots of luck to you and yours! rtr
