Link: Tyler Booker responding to David Pollack Pre Game comments

I didnt want to start a new thread, so ill just share this here. Did anyone notice Booger McFarland was on the opening set of ESPN College Football Playoff Selection show. Rece Davis was main talking head. It seem that Booger went off on the CFP selection committee. I changed channels and when I went back Robert Griffin III had taken his place. I wonder if anyone heard why Booger left the show ?
Typical anti Bama McFarland.

There is some speculation that he was asked to step away from the set (actually step away from the ledge is probably more appropriate) because he was getting too argumentative and irate. That is just speculation at this point.

Booger was getting so absurd that Rece was chuckling under his breath at some of Booger’s comments and Joey Galloway actually put Booger in his place a couple of times.

UGA fans be hurtin' right now. In less than 24 hours, they went from being the undefeated consensus best team in America, consecutive national titleists riding a 29-game winning streak and an assured No. 1 slot in the CFP to being knocked all the way to No. 6 and out of the playoffs with no chance at a threepeat. It's gotta suck to be a Dawg fan this afternoon.
Pretty quiet around here in the greater Savannah area. I`ve kept a very inconspicuous profile today ( " Act like you`ve been there before"- Coach Bryant.

Grown man acting like that about a sport. Geeze! Wonder how he is about things that are TRULY important in life?

Aaron Murray was another. He didn’t see this game as even close.

Barrett Salllee, a Barner that despises all things Alabama said UGA would run all through Alabama and win by a two score margin or more.
I completely understand how these former players that go into sports media would have a hard time balancing between their loyalty to the school they played for and being as non-partial as possible so they can retain some professional credibility. I think Herbstreit and Marcus Spears both do a good job being professionals while also showing off who the schools they support at the appropriate times. Those guys are professionals. Whereas Pollack and Aaron Murray are basically just fan boys…they let their fandom bleed too much into their “insight”, which is really no insight but more wishful thinking, specifically when it comes to discussing Bama. Hence they really have zero credibility….if they were on uga specific podcasts, then fine….but to have national audiences they diminish their value with that audience since they are nothing but fanboys.

Pollock got punch drunk on UGA two NC's, one gift wrapped when they let TCU in. This UGA team isn't anywhere as good as the previous two, ESPECIALLY on the DL and that's where we beat them. Our OL handled their DL all game. Booker, in the first half literally threw one of the UGA DL'man three yards backwards. At that point I knew we had a very legit shot at winning.

Pollock just plain keeps embarrassing himself
Their team last year wasn’t even as good as the year before. They got super lucky against OSU, then even luckier to get TCU. And their 2021 team got SPANKED by a healthy-ish Bama and only pulled it out in the title game with the loss of ALL of Bama’s receivers. Yeah they won the game and the title but people like Pollack seem to have forgotten that Georgia wasn’t dominant and had a lot of breaks go their way to get them where they were.

It’s too bad they didn’t have a sideline camera on these guys yesterday like they did in 2017.

McFarland was very unprofessional on the show, and yes, Galloway put him in his place but did so calmly. Rece was probably more worked up, which he gets. McElroy was pretty quiet for a change.

Imagine Joey Galloway being a voice of reason and being on “the Alabama side” for once? Hell must have frozen over…

I could have been reading into it but it seemed to me that Greg was trying really hard not to be giddy on set about Bama getting in, lol.

He has also picked us to win it all btw

Yeah, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. Major props to Galloway for putting Booger in his place on the matter of Alabama getting the #4 spot and making a calm but powerful argument.

Then 2 things hit me: 1) Booger is an LSU guy, but was never coached by Saban. So he don't know how to act. And 2) Galloway was probably giddy inside that Michigan is going to face Alabama in the first round!

They have benefitted greatly playing in the weakest east division in years on their way to a 29 game winning streak. Let's not pretend that schedule is tough by any stretch of the imagination especially when you compare Georgia's talent to everyone else not name Alabama.

And just think: in mid-September there were people on here saying that Coach Saban needed to retire.

I think an admin needs to resurrect this thread from the dead so we can officially take some names and respond appropriately...

Booger played at LSU...that should answer 99.9% of any questions why he was so butthurt
He got DuBosed as a senior in 1998.

They were finally going to end their losing streak against us in Baton Rouge. They led 16-6 with about 3 minutes to go. They had largely dominated the game. Then Andrew Zow, Shaun Alexander, and Quincy Jackson scored 16 points in those last three minutes and we won, 22-16.

Booger still mad.
