UTK QB Nico Iamaleava holding out for more NIL money (TN/Nico part ways - Entering portal)

Until these kids are placed under contract with their respective school, expect this to occur often. Under the current system or lack thereof, what could stop several players from refusing to play in an upcoming game unless their demand for mor $ is met? Absurd.
To answer your question, I really can’t think of anything.

It’s Minor League Pro Football.

Basically the NFL’s G league.
That’s it…. Seeing less and less of a meaningful connection with “ college “. Used to really bother me to miss an Alabama football game. Now, not so much. Just a bunch of hired hands playing another bunch of hired hands.

I'm in agreement with CJH and Tennessee. I think it sends the right message to other players contemplating trying the same thing. Even players at other schools are paying attention. Where will "I'm a Leave" go? Who would pay him 4 mil? Oregon?
I'm with you, but someone will pay him, hide and watch

I was sitting here thinking last night that at some point somebody has to take a stand on this.
If he were on my team he wouldn't play.
I hope none of the major players pick him up and I hope he loses a lot of money.
The next one that does this suffers the same.
Not out of animosity towards the individual but because there needs to be some loyalty and order restored.
These young men (they're not kids) have to learn to put in the work and do the right things to EARN what they get and not just go to the next sandbox.

I was talking to a guy outside gate 5 of BDS earlier, and he said that Ohio State had reached out and said they didn't have a problem with the $4M. Guess he heard wrong.
If they’re willing to pay that for the third string backup, I wonder what the starter is going to get.

Apparently not. Seems it was Lanning who informed UcheaT Labalaba was being shopped around.
