Midway through the second quarter you would forget the real names of the players and the drinking game would no longer work.

Maybe this slight revision of the drinking game would make it still fun, but a little more responsible:

Instead of taking a drink or shot every time Verne gets the name wrong (15 to 20 times a game), just do a shot whenever he gets the teams or the city the games being played in wrong (only about 5 or 6 times during the Bama-Arky game). You'd have thought Michigan and USC were playing each other in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
