Week 2: Texas vs Alabama Discussion

Frankly, I was hoping we would take the high road and not return the favor so we could see how the responded/remind them of what hospitality is supposed to be, but here we are.
Reap what you sow. Yea, it was petty of them to do what they did. Is it ok that we reciprocated? If they are arrogant enough to do that to us then fine by me. They will be in the SEC next year so all those shenanigans will not be an issue.

On Hey Coach CNS said, “Malachi’s been able to practice some,” Saban said. “Jaylen Key practiced some today. Both of them will be game-day decisions. Secondary is not some place you can play if you can’t move around pretty good. But I’ve been encouraged with the progress they’ve made.”Saying a little prayer....

Came here to say the same thing. Hoping they both can go. 🙏

Impatiently waiting on tomorrow to arrive.. I may feel a little less anxious when Earl starts the pre-game thread.
I will check into gameday tomorrow morning because Namath is guest picker. Hoping they do a story on Eli Gold and his return.
BTW, I have been here for a while so feel free to call me Mike.
RTR! Bama by 2 scores.(more would be preferable.)

Supposedly Key will miss tomorrow and Moore will play. Key only did some drills but not all of them and needs another week. Not sure if true. Guess we will know tomorrow. Glad Malachi Moore and Kook Aid are playing though. I just hate that the injury bug has arrived so soon, for an important game again.

I agree. I was raised on the Golden Rule, so I wish we had treated them as we would want to be treated. However, this can also be chalked up to just having some fun at each other's expense. Either way, the guys making the decisions are not the ones who are having to haul equipment to the cheap seats. Those guys are sitting over in the AC with good food and drink and had an elevator bring them up.

Glass half full view but at least none of the injuries have been season ending.

For the Record , Elle Duncan is absolutely horrible on Sportscenter and should never be allowed to comment on Alabama ever again. Her Georgia , whiney , that bad man hurt me so bad Im gonna lash out while I can Bulldog Bias is obvious

It feels like the season really starts tomorrow. Last week was fun, but had a preseason feel to it in that you knew how the game would ultimately end up, it was just of matter of how we looked in the process and if any injuries came out of it. Tomorrow is legit, and should be fun.

We obviously have depth, but obviously no experience. This is magnified with the injury to Devonta Smith, who was projected by some as a starter. I hope one, Moore can go at least.

anyone know if Mitchell is next man up?

So your former boss who helped cure you off the Wild Turkey, resurrected your coaching career from the dead, fielded the best collection of offensive talent in the history of college football at your command, and helped save your life with his rigorous physical exam for his coaching staff comes to your house in your debut year as it's HC and you disable the AC in the visiting locker room and exile the band to the upper deck in 100 degree heat...

Even if these weren't your decisions, as HC you could have stepped in to assert that wasn't how the program would conduct itself while I am HC.

This says a whole lot about the character of the UT AD and Sark. No values.

Who is that??? Never heard of her.

I understand the religious take.

But it’s kind of like hoping the Iraqis will come to love us because we turned the other cheek.

UTw is so accustomed to running roughshod over the old SWC/Big 12 that they now understand force, nothing else.

Unless and until they experience adverse consequences for their arrogance, they won’t stop.

If it were up to me, I’d put their band’s seats out on the quad. Good thing Greg Byrne is the AD, not me.

Sometimes you just have to be like Tommy in "Coward of the County" - turn and lock the door...

And let's not forget the pregame video of Sark cursing out the worker who put his hand on Sark's shoulder in the tunnel while waiting for the go-ahead over the radio...

SMH

To what end? Do you think Texas will suddenly see the error of their ways and apologize? You think they'll tone down their 'all hat no cattle' attitude?

Screw them. You want to treat Bama fans like that, we're HAPPY to return the favor.

Texas knew what they were doing. Screw 'em.
I always said... BIG HAT, LITTLE HEAD. That seemed to stir things up. That was always my intention.
