I hope we learn some HUGE lessons from this game, because I could see that game following this script.

The truth is, if we could have centered ourselves during the 2nd or 3rd quarters, this game is probably won by multiple scores, but we couldn't.

The coaching staff and team's job is to figure that out. Arguably, AU's defense will be tougher so I hope we learned some tangible lessons to employ in late Nov.

I'm hoping with the self scouting we're doing....that we see more runs to the outside or off tackle by Jam and Hill.

More run game means less stress on Ty, better executed play action.

I hope we see more attacking gaps with the LB's instead of sitting back and seeing which gap the RB comes through.

I also hope we see a change in Ryan where he keeps his feet instead of diving or jumping when he doesn't have to.....and catches with his hands. This is less likely, may take an off season.

The OL....I hope they can do some sort of patch work to get ready for the DL's we're going to be playing soon.

I forget the guy's name who does a segment on ESPN, he usually brings Finebaum on for his take from Saturday's games . He said he learned more about this Alabama team with the comeback win over SC than he has the whole season thus far. I thought his assessment was right on point.

It's probably Mike Greenberg of "Get Up". He has Finebaum on A LOT during the CFB season. But I agree, you learn a lot about a team when the chips are down and everything is going bad, not when everything is going good and you're winning by four scores.

I saw a great deal of player and unit character exhibited during this game. I didn.'t see aything but one player picking up another after a screw up (a la Mbakwe's punt touch) or Ty's strip fumble. I saw the defense bow up after offensive miscues and ineffectiveness and the Offense bow up when the game was most in doubt. Ugly may describe the overall play but to my mind, this is the best as a group our team has handled adversity in the last 2 years. If they clean the play up and maintain the attitude they exhibited I could see us going far. I feel better about them than I have in a while.

A game like this will do one of two things: it will ground this team like the FSU game did and they will get re-focused and work hard or things will go down hill from here.
I think they will refocus like they did after FSU. This team as a whole just seems to have the will to do so.

Greg McElroy said on his morning show that everyone was doom and gloom about Bama’s performance in his ear. And when he finally watched the game he was like “I thought this was going to be way worse” and basically said that Bama went into a Hostile environment after a meat grinder of a 4 week stretch played its C+ game and got out of there with a win and that it told him a lot about the teams character.

There is a process called Red Hat...it brings in an independent opinion to review a plan and to get a completely outside perspective. It would be great if the staff brought in someone to look at our tape and then say how they would defend our offense and how they would attack our defense. I don't think there would be anything revolutionary but it would make the staff think about how to make changes to keep opponents off balance for the next crucial 4 games. Sometimes you get too close to a situation so an outside perspective can be very valuable
