If you like Kim Gordon and Sonic Youth, this band seems to be picking up that torch.

I have been catching a lot of Thurston Moore's solo stuff as well. It's a shame the band will no longer make music together. How many bands get screwed up by relationships going sour.

I like classic rock as much as the next guy, but I’m kinda burned out on it. So I’m always hunting good new music, even if it doesn’t fit what I traditionally listen to. I’m not gonna link because language, but if you wanna give some new music a chance look up The Last Dinner Party - Primavera Sound Barcelona. Live with no noticeable auto tune and the lead singer has an amazing voice. A lot of Queen vibes. Also find another band called Wet Leg pretty interesting.

I have been very pleased with YouTube's algorithm. It has sent me down several rabbit holes, only to discover links from artists' side projects, etc. I have to think YouTube is using AI to generate the content. There are so many great artists out there that are flying almost completely under the radar, word-of-mouth.

Paying the $15 a month for no ads is wonderful. I no longer get colon cleanse ads stuck in the middle of something joyous to listen to.

My kid met the guitarist for this Aussie band in the Dublin airport when he was overseas on a school trip.

We ended up going to see them when they came to Madison, WI last Fall.

When I was in middle school and high school, I used to blast "School's Out" by Alice Cooper on my stereo on the last day of school.
