The CU game started it, the 36-0 AU game was sweet and the BCS victory against UT was the crownning achievement and exclamation mark of the process.
I don't know that we have. Clemson?...maybe, UGA?....we lost the second half, a theme that is recurrent under CNS, with maybe Florida being the exception., but then there was texas, a wounded team on the ropes., still no killer instinct.
I believe the team will improve and only get better the next 3-4 years. and will developed that dominant, 4th quarter take no prisoners defensive killer instinct they had against Florida. thats the real corner I am looking for. the one the other team turns down, a dark alley in the bad section of the stadium .
Let me see if i got this straight....Alabama goes 14-0 and wins the National championship...and your not sure if alabama has turned the corner from losing games in the fourth quarter and being a terribly undisciplined team......i really don't know what you really realistically looking for because im not sure it exist. :conf2: Oh and the Texas game was one game...ok...one game where bama dropped their guard when they got a big lead...bama was kind of wounded too with Gmac's broken ribs so bama really couldn't do everything on offense it wanted to do.
Exactly. I didn't realize this was debatable. We have won 26 of 28 games doing this ever since. In 07 we had no identity through the end of the season.
so you explained Texas by injury, guess you haven't been watching the whole saban era. what about Colorado, Tennessee, Georgia. or even Texas, GMac doesn't play D. the defense should never let up, regardless of the score, and I think CNS will agree. It is possible.
The question wasn't 'from losing games in the fourth quarter'. it was 'turned the corner', which is subjective. I still see things that could/would lead to a loss if not corrected. especially to a quality opponent.

I know there are a few games that stand out. The first one probably being the 2007 Arkansas game. But then the team went on to lose to UL-Monroe and MSU. So I wouldn't really say that Bama had turned the corner. Then there is the 2008 Clemson game, which is hard to argue against. I mean, they were a top 10 team expecting to compete for a national title; with a great deal of experience returning from the previous year's team. And quite honestly, not many people knew what to expect from the Tide that year. However, we all know how Clemson tends to fold under expectations; and that year was no exception. To me the game that really stands out to me is the Georgia (blackout) game. Both teams went into the game undefeated, and UGA is typically considered a top tier SEC team. To me it was that point that the Crimson Tide program turned the corner, and never really looked back. What are your thoughts..........
