West Virginia. I really like Rich Rodriguez and his offense. I've kind of kept up with him since he started putting this offense together at Tulane...then as he tweaked it at Clemson...and now it's interesting to see how he manages it as a new Head Coach. Oddly enough, he replaced Don Nehlen at WVU, whom he played for and who gave him his first coaching job as a GA.

2nd favorite team?

Well, I gotta stick Southern Miss in there some place. I'll just say I'm glad that series is over.

My step daughter is a Bama grad, and Miami native. Also, I grew up with the presence of Coach Bryant everywhere. I have pretty much pulled for Bama just out of respect - until TideFans came about. Then it got a little more intense.

My other #2's:

Oklahoma - similar tradition and class organization- good fans and fun - respectful of us too.

NC State - I have some good friends from NC who are alumni who dragged me along to games in Raleigh when I lived in NC - I always had a good time with them.

Tulane - when they're not playing Southern Miss; how could you not be for this team?

South Carolina - Visor Boy's downfall with the Redskins put him in somewhat of a underdog's role. I want to see USC do well, as long as it's not against Bama. They have a cool website, an even cooler theme going with their highly suggestive mascot namesake, and my dirt poor farmer roots has its origins in and around Anderson, SC. So I'll always like these.

N.O. Saints - oh, God - I've suffered with these clowns since 1966.

Mimai Dolphins - just because I live five miles from their stadium. It has to be one of the great tailgating experiences in mid-December, that exists in all of football.

Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Worked at U of N for a couple of years. Met great people and had a bit of fun.

If you are a college football fan, I hope you get to go to a game in Lincoln. I have been lucky enough to go to games at 'Bama, Clemson, Michigan, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Auburn, Baton Rouge, Cal, and several others. The whole experience at a Cornhusker game is second to none.

Just admit that you all have another team to follow for the heck of it. Personally for me, how about Missouri (since I'm from there) this year with their 6-0 record and beating Texas Tech last week?!? With the offense they have with Chase Daniel (Greg McElroy backed him up in high school FYI) and a nasty defense, they have a great shot to go undefeated up to the Big 12 championship game. Only two tough teams they have left are OU at home and Nebraska on the road.
In complete agreement!!

My second favorite team is Baylor. My wife went there and has always been a true fan. When we go to the Alabama game watching parties here in Texas, she always brings her headphones so she can listen to Baylor if the games are on at the same time.

Baylor is definitely an improving team, due mostly to Coach Guy Morris. He is doing some great things there. C.J. Wilson is a fantastic CB; he has a knack for interceptions, especially at critical moments. Dominique Zeigler is like Baylor's Keith Brown; just a great reciever. Daniel Sepulveda is an outstanding punter; he reminds me of Lane Bearden... an amazing kicker, and if no one else is going to tackle the guy returning the kick, he'll lower his head and nail him.

We are actually going to the Baylor aTm game Oct. 28. I agreed to it thinking 'Bama would more than likely breeze past Florida International, but after the Duke game I'm not so sure... just kidding (sort of). Two years ago, Baylor won at home. Last year, it went into overtime, but aTm won. This year, it is back in Waco.

It is very funny because when I first moved to Texas five years ago, Baylor was the team everyone joked about. Now, I'm proud to say that aTm has become the joke, while everyone considers Baylor to be an up-and-coming team.

Vandy!

ALL the players are able to read the scoreboard, AND do the substraction to see how far behind they are!

No, really they are a class act.

Texas Longhorns - ever since Major Applewhite layed out the love for Jay Barker. Plus, it's fun to tick off all the TN fans here in Nashville by giving them the "Hook 'em Horns" sign whenever I see their orange T.

USC Trojans - no idea why. Probably the "Tribute to Troy" band cheer. Catchy tune...

Michigan - Again, a band thing. "Hail to the Victors" was one of my high school's fight songs. We didn't do that silly waving/bobbing of the trumpets thing, though.

Florida...Went to school there, got a degree there (after Bama!), son was born there...

A&M...just LOVE to follow their failure. When Fran leaves I'll go back to following them and hope they actually win!

NE Pats! Lived in Boston for awhile, was there in the bad years and when Bledsoe was just a youngster and Parcells was brought in to turn it around and the uniform change and all...
