why would CNS be on the hotseat?

It's only because the national perception is that CNS doesn't have any control over his program and thus, Alabama will get "tired" of this and demand to exert tighter control over the program. The reality is that a lot of Alabama fans locally feel that CNS does have good control over the program, he just needs to get his players into the program (which he is doing obviously). It's just a website whom its creators have nothing else better to do. I wouldn't fret over this.

as crazy as it may seem, let him lose to the barn in '08 and '09 and his seat will be boiling. Not saying that's right or fair, but that WILL be the situation if that hypothetical comes to pass, at least in the eyes of the rank and file Alabama fan....

Well, considering the talent shift in the state which is occurring, if the "process" has failed so badly that we lose in both '08 and '09, I think the "hot seat" scenario becomes just an intellectual exercise. He'll have quit...

Hey moderators this thread needs to be locked and in further more I can't understand why people want to waste their time posting garbage like this.

Anybody who has any sense about their selfs should know that there is no truth to this garbage and if you have any respect for coach Saban why then you never would have ever posted this thread to begin with.

Please note that if I have made anybody mad why then I am sorry.

I'll put it like this...another loss in the Iron Bowl, and at home will not be a good thing. I know its the last game of the regular season, take it one game at the time, but this game will be HUGE! Almost a must win I think. Win this game, and life will be much easier. Huge momentum will be gained. Lose it, and he might really be on the hotseat in 09! We are not going to earn the respect that we're all so hungry for until these great recruiting classes start producing wins. Until then its just the same ole sad song.

Heard it on the news that CNS is #4 coach on the hotseat, I don't understand how idiots that come up with this garbage think.
Is this a local or a national story? I can understand some knucklehead at ESPN saying something as stupid as this, but not a local state reporter. Then again this story could have been reported in west Georgia at Barnyard U. That would only be wishful thinking on their part.

i say the first big game nick saban needs to win is the iron bowl. i almost think thats more important to beat auburn with a 6-6 record than a loss to auburn with an 8-4 record. once that game is out the way, tons of pressure will be off of him. but he knows it doesnt end there. there will always be pressure to win.

but no way in the world hes on the hotseat. if he loses this year, there will be tons of pressure to win next time which isnt good because its an away game.

There is always pressure to win if you are a football coach no matter who, when or where. I would bet Coach Saban puts more pressure on himself than any fan or blogger could ever imagine. But if you want the most rise out of a fan base for the buck, just write something about Bama, good or bad.

to many, the perception is that the football coach at the University of Alabama is always on the hot seat. Fair or not, true or not, it's not an uncommon perception around the country.

If you were watching some program that has CNS as #4 on the hotseat...or any hotseat....then you wasted valuable brain cells watching that.
