Yahoo Terrible article.....

Believe it or not, the media needs stories and controversies. Even if all the sports journalists in America actually do believe that Alabama is the majestic, untouchable football titan you think you are, they still have to generate web traffic... it's their job.

And conveniently, they have a whole country perfectly willing to believe that Oregon is the majestic, untouchable football titan you think you are.

They have to hitch their wagon to someone. Boise State had its turn. Last year it was Notre Dame. This year it is Oregon.

The last time I watched oregon play and paid attention was the BCS game in 2010 when they were beaten by a team with a very subpar defense. oregon will lose one before it is all over and will not be involved in the BCS game at all.

You might want to check your attitude at the cyber door or it can be done for you. Take your pick.

And you base that on what? With Stanford's loss on saturday, I for one don't see Oregon losing to anybody in the regular season or for that matter in their CCG.

If there's been any "pattern" with Oregon it is they tend to lose games late in the season. I think the hyper speed they play at begins to catch up with them at the end of the season. UCLA, Stanford and Oregon State are still left on their schedule then the PAC-12 championship game. Let's see if they can break the pattern.

Agreed - their most difficult games are all still ahead of them. Much like FSU and Clemson, we just don't know how good they are yet. Consider Stanford - how good did they turn out to be?

I have no doubt they are a very good team. I just don't think their offense is as invincible as many would like us to believe. I also believe Alabama has somewhat gotten used to playing against the HUNH. Look at the aTm game. Was it the scheme that caused us problems or was it the sandlot moves of Johnny Football and a 6'5 Wr? Several of their biggest plays our defense from a schematic standpoint had them dead to rights. But a wiggle and a jiggle from JF here and a there and he's busted the scheme. But the I don't the HUNH in and of itself has caused Bama as many problems as it did last year.

Hammer meet nail. Add in that the defense was running around in nearly 100 degree heat - meaning it was probably 120 degrees on the field - and you have a recipe for the "decline" of our defense that everyone seems to be pointing to.
