Game Thread: **OFFICIAL**Alabama vs Tennessee POST-game thread

I was only disappointed about the 100 yard rusher streak being broken. Otherwise, we looked like we should have looked and it was refreshing to not be so frustrated with the offense looking not so dominant. I am particularly pleased with the performance of Julio tonight. He looked great, especially for just having had a plate and screws put into his hand.

Glad to get a week of rest.

Offense played with an attitude in the second half! O-Line seemed to want to run over people. Defense made plays when they had to. 10 pts given up is a great outing!!!!

I like the way we finished the game. We didn't finish the first half and I bet there was some paint peeled at half time. CNS did not look happy going into the half. Knowing that, it makes me like the way they responded even more. A good butt chewing can have to possible effects and one is bad. Looks like they responded well to it.

Yeah, SERIOUSLY! The lack of physicality by our OL is not news breaking. So I'm not sure why you seemed shocked someone mentioned it. Gmac got the dog crap beat out of him tonight in spite of his statistics. Did you not see how many times he got drilled? Did you not see in the first half how our OL was getting stood up? Sure, UT's DL wore down but the LSU, Miss St and Aubarn's DL isn't in as bad of shape as UT's so they won't wear down. Yeah, it concerns me.

South Carolina, Ole Miss and for the first half of this game our OL got handled. Needs to get fixed if we're going to beat LSU, State and Aubarn.

Seriously.

I think that in the 1st half, the smaller Vol line was just a bit quicker, and that let them gain an edge. Once they started to wear down, we took over. Pretty much the story of the Vols' season, actually.

Well we had our schizo moments, mainly in the 1st half but finally found some consistency on offense. Still have concerns on defense, ie. lack of pressure, giving up too many 10 yd plays allowing teams to drive it on them, and not catching those int's when they hit the db's & lbr's in their hands. Liked seeing some intensity on defense though, they played fast and hit hard. Milliner, Dareus and Jones made some nice plays.
Offense put on a show in the second half, and played like we knew they could, but they just need to keep it up and do it for 60 minutes. Can't afford slow starts against better teams. Thought the coaching staff did a nice job getting our best players involved throughout the game and called a nice balance attack in the 2nd half especially. Chemistry looked better in this one.
JJ gets the game ball imo, very impressive game for him.

Well congrats on a great win at a hostile stadium with lots of enthusiam from the underdogs.

I feel much better after the 2nd half. :BigA:

It's no coincidence that our 2nd half dominance coincided with our decision to start running the ball more than once every series of downs.

Great second half. Glad to see us starting to click going into the bye week. Now we've got a week to rest and continue working out the kinks.

Concur. The talent is there to road grate just about anybody we play. We've got the best two running backs in the country. There's no excuse for us not to be able to run the ball.

Great to see the O clicking in he end but the D is still in trouble. But a very nice note to end on.
