If you could handpick one player (other than McCarron) to make the biggest strides from 2011 to 2012, who would it be? In other words, whose progress do you think will have the biggest impact on our ability to repeat?

It's a tough call, and if we get a little more than is expected from any player on the roster, we'll be in great shape, but I'm going with Adrian Hubbard. We need someone to rush the passer, and I believe Hubbard is close to being able to be a consistent threat on third-and-long. At 6'6" and with a monster wingspan, he will be a terror for opposing QBs If he makes a big jump from 2011 to 2012.

Kind of surprised by those answers (not that I disagree). I figured the next three players named would be Cyrus Kouandjio, Jessie Williams and [insert WR].

Fowler, Johnson, DePriest, Williams etc all good choices. I honestly can't say but I think lot of these guys step up. I think Kenny Bell will become a go to WR along with Norwood at least I hope so.

I agree with all above, so I'm going to say Malcolm Faciane or Brian Vogler is going to have step up at TE. Both of these guys have the size, speed, and hands to be elite TE's.

Don't forget Harrison Jones. He played his freshman year and has decent bloodlines.:)

I think Jesse Williams and Quinton Dial will both improve a bunch. Saban talked about how both were naturally gifted they just needed to learn technique.

Picking one player off of this team is difficult. I like our linebacker corp so how about Harris, Nico johnson or DePriest.

Christian Jones is my choice..He has all the skills to become an All-American return man..His NC Game performance was a definite confidence booster for next year..

Quinton Dial will make great strides this year IMO. Also, look for whoever starts at Jack (Dickson or Hubbard) to be a major stud next year.

C. Jones' progression over this season impressed me, along with V. Sunseri. Norwood and Bell have a lot of potential too, and if they continue to progress they will be a large part of our offensive success this season.
