The Chick-fil-a here in Lake Charles was uber packed today. Cars were in line to get in the line going around the store to get in the drive-thru line - this line has been long since breakfast. Inside was elbow to elbow (@10:45 CST), but extremely well behaved for a 'protest' crowd. This particular restaurant is always busy, but I would be shocked if they don't turn several times their normal business today. I'm sure Friday's activities will get all the media attention, but today's turnout was notable, to say the least.

just imagine how powerful of a message it would be for this kind of mobilization effort to be undertaken in feeding the hungry and helping the needy (and bringing much needed attention on those folks in need) in Christ's name.

That exact thing goes on in hundreds of churches across the world. We call the principal agents "missionaries" and we support them as generously as possible.

Ran to Publix at lunch to grab something. It shares a parking lot with the nearby Chick-Fil-A. The Publix parking lot was packed but was just the usual lunch crowd inside. The rest of the crowd was apparently over at C-F-A. Didn't go in because, well, I don't voluntarily eat fast food anymore.

And besides, my wife already had made me a sammich.

Agree. You never have anyone wait on you there that does not seem to actually mind waiting on you. Also, CFA is the cleanest fast food place anywhere.
