Alabama vs. WKU Postgame Thread

Quite frankly, he is not.
The reality is, in order to make a run at a NC you can only have a few of these a year. This sadly might be one of them, there's just no way around that. I think we all now know that we have to watch Alabama play a few more games before we start jumping to conclusions. Hopefully Alabama puts together a nice string of solid, (major) injury free games.

Who can possibly replace Fowler? Nobody comes to mind at the moment.

Nobody can, because he was a unique asset with physical assets which I've not seen before. It will modify our offense. I'm going to be interested in the replay, though, because an OT (both sides) is the last thing I expected to see against a team like WKU...

Off of the negatives for a moment- who saw the the Blake Sims set coming? And was this thrown out there to give future opponents something else to prepare for? It was interesting, and shows potential- especially if AJ were to go down for any significant length of time.

And a nice from from Drake. We could see more of him and the H-Back Walk-on.....Johnson?

Inconsistency is the biggest culprit in games like this and it is all about intensity. The opponent has a lot to do with that and I think you will see a much sharper focus next week. WKU had some athletes folks. Lots of Florida size and speed on that Defense.

I guess the Tide fanbase is spoiled. We won in a shut-out. Sluggish at times but still a good performance. Plenty for Coach Saban to coach on. On to Arkansas. I hope Fowler isn't out for the season, but it's the nature of the game. Lets be positive and stop being so negative. Like coach said, why do we play the games? I see some here are giving up and saying that our season is ruined. I guess we may as well just not play the rest of our games if thats the case.

He was like Martin Houston but could run like a tailback. Closest I can think of.

Regarding Fowler's injury, here's exactly what I just told a friend who's ready to jump off a cliff

We have a solid coaching staff...and the best RB coach in Burton Burns in the business. He'll adjust. We may have to burn a few redshirts, but we'll adjust our gameplan based on the talent that we have available. You won't see him trying to run Dee Hart or Lacy in there to play lead fullback. But what I expect to see is a lot of passes out of the backs that we do have, all of who could be legitimate college WRs (Yeldon, Hart, and especially Drake).

Fixed it for you! I hate to say it, but it could be a below .500 season if they aren't careful. Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee, Missouri, Mississippi State,Texas A&M could all be losses.

REALLY!!! Second game of the season comimg off a high like Michigan in JerryWorld and this the expectation?

No. Just simply no. Go back and look at '09 and '11. We had some ugly games then as well. Lighten up.

RTR!!!
