This was the most physical defense we've faced all year. WKU had six sacks on us but they didn't punch us as hard as this OM defense did tonight. We're not going to blow everybody out, every game. The competition will get tougher each week.
You probably haven't been following my remarks in the game thread, but I seriously doubt that it's Hart's ACL graft, since those don't hurt when you reinjure them (no nerve regeneration), and he was in obvious pain. Been there, done that, so I know...A win is a win, but is that the same knee Hart hurt before? Anyone know the status of White and now Stinson? The main difference this year is we have depth at those positions.

Roll Tide! But we should not be playing games where the first quarter ends later than the players' normal curfew. We don't need TV time that badly. Ridiculous.
I have nothing to negative to say about our performance tonight. We beat a darn resilient team by 19 points on an off night, I don't know about y'all, but I'll take that any day of the week.
There were a lot of positives tonight, most notably to me was the emergence of Amari Cooper as our top receiver. Hopefully that is a trend he will continue through the rest of the season. That was the best special teams effort I've ever seen us play. Every kickoff that I can remember was a touchback, Shelley was perfect in field goal range, and Christion showed some of the best speed I've seen since Javy wore crimson. Once again, AJ did all that was asked of him and he didn't force anything. To me, that's all he needs to be doing at this point in the season, I'll leave the video game numbers to the "other" conferences.
The biggest thing to me as far as negatives go is how many injuries we suffered, a couple of which could be severe. It was a tough night in those regards, but it still ended well.
Roll Tide

Tide really struggled to get the offense rolling tonight. I hope we don't regress. Don't want to call out the new offensive coordinator, but the plays just didn't look very creative or effective in the red zone.
We may just need a week off.

NO MORE 830 start times....... I"m tired and it's too late for those kids to be up![]()
I'd guess an MCL sprain or maybe a meniscus tear. If it hurts, it ain't his ACL graft. That's just a "something gave way" sensation and he was in obvious pain...mIssed it in the game thread -- what else could it be?
My only concern - the play calling. Your O-Coordinator simply refused to take what the defense was giving him. He had a game plan and refused to change it on the fly.
I don't know anything about knees... is it good that it isn't his graft, or does it open a wormhole of other possible injuries?
Congrats, guys. Participated in my first game thread here, and really enjoyed it. Considering the intensity of your opponent tonight, I think you did really well. I have to believe that Alabama will bring that same level of intensity when you play your tougher opponents.

AJ had a poor 2nd half, but he is human. I wouldn't give it a second thought.
