2014 Prospects

Nothing is impossible for us but Fournette will be an uphill battle to the end and he will say and do all the right things and when it's time to sign it will most likely be LSU a la Rueben Randle. But yes he is an amazing talent and definitely tops our list.

He has name auburn as one of his leader. Most sources indicating Saban and staff are not taking his commitment at this time. Remember, he was set to commit to Bama several months back. Bama has back off. Others higher on the wish list. We all know recruiting is fluid. For now, Thomas is not a priority . Bama very selective with RBs in this class.

The same thing was being said about Landon Collins. It will be tough but it won't take a miracle IMO. Never count out Coach Saban and staff.

Agree. That's why some people close to the situation feel really good about Fournette.
it will be a battle to the end for sure. Landon Collins was a Bama lean from the beginning. He was just keeping the pressure off until his announcement at the UA game.

I understand that it's not the same as far as favoring but they are both the #1 players in LA. I still don't think it will take a miracle to sign him. Lots of different angles working here.

Not so fast my airborne friend. Also, Thomas has wanted to commit and the staff is being very very very selective on who can commit early because of last year's class. IMO we sign two backs in this class and my bets are LF and Thomas. Before someone says BO is a RB I believe he switches positions ( & unlike henry ,he is very very open to switching, been working alot of camps @ WR/LB )
 
Not sure why anyone thinks LF will be a miracle pull from LSU. It's not anything close to that. I'd say right now it's 51%-49% LSU. If they're ahead at all, it's only slightly.

IF and a BIG IF, Bama lands Fournette, the corndog nation will be in a huge tailspin like no other fanbase has before!!

if you have read their MB, most and I mean most think LF is a lock. they all believe its just a matter of time before he commits to them.

they cite early playing time, departure of RBs, saving a spot for him from the last class, and of course, he is a LA. home grown product . only a few rational LSU fans are very worried about Coach Saban and his "magic". :cool:

they are fully aware of LF coming this weekend. the homers think its just formality since he has unofficially visit other schools as well. they believe other than Landon Collins, Saban loses more often than not when going head to head with Miles and LSU. its funny, that ignorant bunch forgot to mentioned Denzel Devall who shunned them. this should be fun and amusing to see how this one plays out. LSU has put everything in their basket with his recruitment.

Not even LSU is dumb enough to only offer one RB. They must have a backup plan even if they feel very confident in LF.

I know Racean Thomas wanted to commit a while back. Some people close to him around here (Oxford) have told him to way his options because of the depth chart. Wonder how much will immediate playing time factor in LF's decision. Im higher on Rock than all the backs we signed last year. And thats saying alot because i really like what henry brings to the table and Tyren Jones skill set.
