Re: Kenny Bell tweets that he's giving up football
Odd. To rehab, go through spring and fall camp and one game only to decide to hang them up?

Not necessarily - I think we was raised by a single mother and with the time requirement of a football player at Alabama, he might have realized he couldn't be the father he wants to be. If that's the case, I've got nothing but respect for him. This is really strange, gotta be more to it than his kids.
Obviously, if this is true, Kenny is being an adult facing up to his adult responsibilities. I hope he can still play football and take care of his kids but I have to respect his decision. Good luck to Kenny in the future.
If that is really the story, I agree completely, kudos to him for it. By the way, he has already graduated according to this:Not necessarily - I think we was raised by a single mother and with the time requirement of a football player at Alabama, he might have realized he couldn't be the father he wants to be. I am fairly certain he earned his degree last year. It is a bit strange for timing; but best of luck to him in whatever he does if he follows through with his decision to walk away.Has he graduated? Wish him well.
I hope he is persuaded to change his mind. I really like seeing the ball thrown to #7 and #2. Well, also #22, #83, et al.Maybe he can be persuaded to change his mind. Arenas wanted to do the same at a point in his career...
amen. could not have said it better.I agree, I don't see anything wrong with his decision. He wants to make his kids his priority. We have no idea what is going on in his home life.
I thank him for his time on the team and wish him luck.
