Game Thread: Baylor vs Oklahoma

Belldozer would operate more effectively if the O-line could make a fist and actually hit somebody, metaphorically speaking. Stoops has really bought into the big 12 concept of football at the LOS.

Baylor and Oregon are similar to me. They can score quickly with their schemes, but their defenses are weak. I was not impressed with Baylor. You can't beat a team like Oregon or Baylor if you keep giving them the ball. Oklahoma was horrible last night. Head to head: Oregon beats Baylor. My guess is that the betting line would be around Oregon -10.

Weak Baylor defense? 9 of 14 Oklahoma drives were 4 plays or less and they only scored one TD. What are you looking for in a defense?

We get it, you're a Baylor fan.

Was that a season high in penalties for Baylor, or are they usually that sloppy?

Usually clean. Refs had to do the targeting deal like Ha Ha vs Ole Sis. Refs kinda went crazy with the flags.

I watched that play, and there was more targeting going on there than most plays. It wasn't helmet to helmet, but he clearly and pretty deliberately went high. I get why they threw the flag and why they didn't throw him out, but while I hate the rule, if targeting is going high deliberately, that was it. He knocked the guy out of the game with a high blow. It wasn't split second either, as he was going for a tackle, not trying to break up a pass.

I didn't see a lot of the other penalties, but both teams looked just really undisciplined. I more got the impression that someone had to lose, vs. actually watching a team win. But, Baylor scored a lot after I stopped watching...

Consensus from this thread is no one watched the entire game.

No one mentioned that Baylor lost Lache Seastrunk, Tevin Reese, Glasco Martin all in the first half. With a pulled groin, broken wrist, and damaged knee.

It was 3rd stringers that curb stomped whatever defense OU had to offer.

Favorite quote from the thread, "Baylor's offense is overrated, but their defense looks legit".

Ohh, we don't want Bama, we are rooting for LSU this weekend....

I did not watch much of this game, but Baylor has TTU, KState, TCU and Texas left, not really sure any of those 4 can beat Baylor now.
OSU, not KState, at OSU...they already played KState and won in their closest game. And OSU is better than KState.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present the Baylor version of oregonbltzkrieg

What is it with these teams. They beat one highly overrated team and suddenly they are Pasadena bound. Sorry, Oklahoma isn't very good. Their best win is Texas Tech and Texas blew them out. Miami was the same way after their win against Florida. Oklahoma State is the only team on their schedule that even resembles a top 15 team. Ask Ohio State how that's working out.
