Heck I just realized the title of the thread is wrong and a bit misleading. The story said "Terry Saban, Nick's Wife, Says Alabama Fans Aren't So Appreciative, but He Isn't Leaving"

For me
Lack of Appreciation ---> Unappreciative
We're Staying. We're not going anywhere ---> We're not leaving.

Maybe I missed something. And besides, start a new topic and try to put the title of that article in there. It won't fit.

We can't change Mrs. Terry's opinion from that day...but I would rather change her feelings moving forward. Not gonna say she is wrong because I don't see everything that she sees, but I know I will do my part to change her view. RTR!!!

Yeah, let's delete this thread, so Bama fans can't discuss an article including a quote from Alabama's head coach's wife saying we lack appreciation for them.

What I hear is mumble mumble mumble mumble We're Not Leaving. I'm certain that's the impression Mrs Saban intended to make. The rest is a journalist trying to stir the pudding, something they are motivated to do, to get attention for their story.

Saban is working on his 3rd consecutive and is recruiting the hell out of the 4th and maybe 5th, he pulls down 5 mil and that's only until someone offers him ten and then we'll offer him ten. That's the "appreciation" that really counts. He's not going anywhere.

Imagine this...Ms Terry spends the bulk of the interview saying they are staying, and why they are. After spending a good while with the writer, Ms Terry starts feeling comfortable with her. Towards the end, Ms Terry makes sarcastic reference to being underappreciated, smiling while saying it to convey she is being sarcastic.

The writer has what she wants, a brief poorly worded quote she can use to make it seem like that was the thrust of the entire interview, when she knew it was just a silly add-on that Ms Terry wasn't expecting to see highlighted. She de-emphasizes the main point, the Saban's are staying. She, the writer, just wanted controversy.

I can think of several other scenarios that are different from that as well. Let's hold up and see what follows. Let's not complicate things.

So, what can we do to make them feel more appreciated?

It this a real question? Fill the stadium, stay for four quarters, cheer for four quarters, fill up the seats for A-Day. They're not asking for all that much, just do what fans are supposed to do.

Alabama has plenty of empty seats for an A-Day game after a national title (Auburn had better attendance, and that's coming off a horrible season). They have plenty of empty seasons for AJ's Senior Day, in the midst of another potential title run.

The fact is the Saban's have every right to be disappointed by fan support that has actually gone down a bit despite the run of National Titles (it peaked a couple years ago). If the players let things slip the way the fans have, the fact is Alabama wouldn't be #1 right now.

I ain't picking a fight with ya, but you misquoted the Article Heading. I'm all for deleting this entire thread.

Open letter to Mrs. Terry:
We love you and Coach Nick and it won't change. Sure we like to win. We also know what it is to lose.
We have had a few of those years also. It's the honor that you two bring to the Alabama "FANS" that
means the most to the Bama Nation.
We know that we will lose one day. We just hope it isn't Saturday. If it is we will still love you both.
Just believe a 79 year old you know what - YOU ARE APPREACIATED!!! RTR

The Barn's A-Day crowd was boosted by the excitement of a new coach and the fact they were saying goodbye to the trees.

And I can't blame anyone for not wanting to pay a lot of money to see us play Chattanooga.
