Man, Coker's a BIG dude!

glue some bolts to his neck and he's ready for Halloween.

I think a couple of truths out of this thread are that Coker is taller than advertised, I think 6'5 and growing. Allie is the most beautiful sideline reporter of all time imo. Seems like Coach Saban enjoys his interviews with her over others.

Jakes a big ole dude......I don't know if it was mentioned in the UT game thread....but I left my seat cheering for him, when he laid a block that you could hear on Tv that sprang Henry on a left side sweep late in the 4th.........dude has heart!!!!!!
RTR!!!!!

Oh no!

Yes, I agree with the comparison not being Tyler Watts. Probably Bateman is our Tyler Watts, good but not great runner and passer. Jake is still a mystery to me.......he has a stronger arm than Tyler Watts and I was happy that Ridley seems to have the speed to catch up to his throws, overthrown or not. Jake has a David Smith feel, with more upside. The best us yet to be seen imo.

That's the thing. I believe that we haven't seen his best. We've seen him do thing thing when given time. He was actually lighting UT up with those, but he was running for his life most of the times

Just watched the last drive of the game. Standing next to Cam, he is maybe 1/2 shorter, he might be 6'5. Had a championship type drive. First play was key, most QB's would have been sacked but he alluded and made a small gain from pure will, and his temperament was commanding from then on. The two passes, 35 and 25 yards were soft lobs and accurate. Jake can throw mid range passes with accuracy and let our athletic WR's make the plays. The entire time, he looked confident, and the offense followed suit. The Henry TD was execution perfection. We learned that Jake can play under pressure, the team respects him, has good running instincts and a stronger arm than advertised.

That's a complaint of mine. Most of the criticisms come when he's under extreme pressure. It makes me think that the posters simply have never played and they just can't put themselves in his place. They want perfection...

The OL just isn't there yet with pass protection. It's a newly built line this year. I running blocking I have no complaints. When they have protected though he has all day to throw. The receivers get open. Rarely have they had a coverage type sack. Coker usually finds the man he needs. It makes me wonder though, what happens if the line heals up. DJ will probably be out this game. Could we have more issues now? I hope not.

I also believe he's beginning to find his touch on the long balls too.

And, answering myself, that article really griped me when the "writer" gigged JC for poor throws and his receivers made him look good. Idiot didn't even realize that they were perfectly thrown - his receivers knew where he was placing the ball, the DB didn't and the receivers were the only ones with a chance at it...
