Terror attacks in Paris.

Since WW II, France has never closed her borders and declared a state of emergency in the entire country. Not even during the War in Algeria. Hollande wants to make sure this is not part of something bigger before he re-opens the borders. That gives him about 6 hours until this starts having big ripples. Passenger planes are over the Atlantic right now, headed to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, etc. They will have to land somewhere.

A Paris regional "Plan White" is in effect, hospitals are calling is personnel for lots of casualties.

The French Army is mobilizing and sending troops into Paris.

Parisnas are opening their apartments to harbor strangers stranded in Paris. That is more than hospitality. It is courageous.

If I was on one of those planes, I'm not sure that I would want to land in Paris right now.

These guys (ISIS) appear to have no agenda other than killing as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time. They are absolutely reckless, trying to make enemies with every major western nation at the same time. If there were still men like Churchill and FDR around, these guys wouldn't last long. They don't have the manpower to withstand the forces of an angry Russia, France, and US at the same time. The question is, how angry are we? We don't have to tolerate this if we don't want to...

The last time something like this happened (WWII), the US didn't join until we ourselves were attacked. In retrospect, maybe we should've joined earlier. This time around, we need to be proactive and throw in early. I say the US, Russia, and France go all-in to crush these guys utterly. Send a message to all other prospective terrorist groups: We're bigger than you.

I'm ready to see the FRENCH launch their own jihad against these cowardly scumbags.

I think this is what will happen next - and we won't know it because they will conduct their missions covertly. But when all is said and done I would LOVE to know the details of how they kicked some tail!

The French are some real bad azzes contrary to what some would have you think.

Don't poke the Le Bear!

On of my friends on FB - generally a pretty leaf-leaning guy - just posted this:

I'm afraid it's too late for the moderates to self-police. With this situation in Paris, the radicals have overplayed their hand by abusing European good will (if not naivete). Europeans have thrown the doors open and France is paying dearly. The US is following suit and we'll be right there just like Paris if we don't move to a more cautious footing. The world will not wait for moderate Muslims to reign in the radicals. Nor should it. They've had decades now to do this themselves and they haven't done it. It's time for those of us with the means to grow a sack, ignore the Neville Chamberlains of the world, and put an end to this crap.
