Terror attacks in Paris.

Sure Westboro. Because acting like a jerk at a funeral is directly equivalent to mass killing, smh.....

Look I used a lighter example because I know that people don't want me to reference things like certain people on this board that we know do in trying to disprove or try to put shame on Christianity .So if you want me to reference some radical groups that used Christianity as justification for mass killings you know darn well I could easily do it.

My point was that some people are labeling that "all" Muslims are violent hateful people, which thru my experiences with them I know that is untrue. What happened tonight is beyond horrible but blaming all Muslims for this is not an accurate accusation

For example: both Iraq and Iran are Shia but Iraq is Arabic and Iran is Persian.

Hate to quibble, but "Iran" is Persia. Just ask a Persian.

Translation: they don't call it Iran.

You can thank cretins, like the Grand Mufti of Palestine, and their love affair of all things Nazi, for the emergence of that name.

They are going to tick off enough nations to where every single country is against them and they will cease to exist. But until then they are going to keep this kind of crap up.

This is why the next election is VERY IMPORTANT because we do have an illegal alien problem and it is NOT all Mexicans either. If we don't strengthen our borders, more and more will pile in and guess what? If I was Al Qaeda or ISIS I would definitely get into Mexico so I could sneak across the US border. Then things like that will happen here.

If we don't become proactive instead of reactive we are in deep doo-doo. I'm not saying we should vote Trump in per say, but SOMETHING MUST BE DONE or we better start worrying about the next attack being at a NFL game, or a college game, etc.

Prayers for France, sadly we know all too well what they feel like after 9/11.

Very horrible attack, but that statement is very extreme. There are non extreme Muslims and they far outweigh the extremists

I could not possibly care less if it seems "extreme" to you or anyone. I HATE MUSLIM/ISLAMIC PEOPLE. And I have no regrets in saying it.

If it was up to me the islamc/muslim religion would be outlawed. Anyone caught studying or practicing it would be sent to a maximum security prison for c a year. The second offense would be death.

Don't agree. I don't care.

The California band, "Eagles of Death Metal," that was scheduled to play at the theater where most of the killings happened, are not among the injured. They are safe, apparently.
I don't know why this struck me as odd. Amid all the carnage, a band called "Eagles of Death Metal" are okay.

These Islamic terrorists continue to create a very negative stigma against the religion of Islam as well as the Muslim community worldwide.

IMHO, until that community rises up against these extremists....we will continue to see bloodshed from Islamic terrorism.

I appreciate all the comments about carpet bombing and boots on the ground but unfortunately we are fighting a culture that will always have global support and while I enjoy seeing bad people getting blown to bits - it won't change the culture that we are fighting and mostly just feeds the fire.

ISIS has now claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Earlier in the day British Prime Minister David Cameron holds a presser announcing the drone strike on 'Jihadi John'.

Then what god are you praying to rid the world of all Muslims? Krisna?vittalo?zeus?Jesus? Because doesn't Jesus say love thy neighbor, and love thy enemy? Or maybe some other god?

Don't agree don't care

I agree with your sentiments Bazza in the sense that it is a culture war. And until the peaceful Muslims stand up against the extreme factions, it will not end. And there in lies the problem. I have friends, neighbors and co-workers that are Muslim. And they are good people. But the strange thing is that when the senseless murders of innocent people takes place like last night, for the most part they go mute. They will say it is awful, but I am yet to here a single one of them condemn the extreme, violently radicalized sect of THEIR religion.

I used to believe that the statement "The difference between a moderate Muslim and radical Muslim is simple. A radical Muslim wants to kill you. The moderate Muslim wants the radical Muslim kill you." was ignorant and absurd. However, I'm reaching the point where I'm beginning to believe there is some truth in that statement.

The silence of my Muslim neighbors and colleagues when these acts happen are deafening. And like other atrocities, you're are complicit by your silence and inactions.

We have hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees fleeing Syria because they fear that very faction of their own religion. Do me favor. Stop running and turn around and fight. Isolate that sect of your religion that has become a disease and eliminate them. That sect of your religion is a cancer and it has metastasized to the rest of world.

And if you don't believe there are those Muslims living and working here that have extreme views of non Muslims, you are sadly mistaken. I have worked with some (and believe it or not mostly highly educated with degrees from schools in the US, France, England, Germany, etc.) with views so extreme, given the right set of circumstances, I believe they could become violently radicalized in a heart beat.

The problem there is that the religion itself prohibits them from taking sides against other Muslims. So in a way they're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Still, "you're known by the company you keep".

i like to think of it as a lifted middle digit to the barbarians

The issue everyone is struggling with is the location of Isis is Syria. Syria is a very important place in the Muslim religion. To make matters worse is that our fearless leader and Putin are backing opposite sides in a Syrian civil war and we are backing the side that is sorta ok with Isis as long as they are attacking Assad. Personally I wish all the world would accept that while Tito and sadaam were cruel and vicious, they kept all the extremists under control. There is evil and necessary evil, and Assad is the latter. As far as the GOP and the dems I think the situation favors the GOP more because the side Kerry and Obama favor in Syria. But probably the first to say either let's help Russia, let's back Assad in destroying Isis, or let's stay out of the conflict but let's focus solely on Isis is going to gain a lot of support. Btw trumps continues to say he is going to bomb oil fields

Nail on head! Well said, CB4....thank you!

A strong US leader would gather world leaders in an attempt to fight this radicalism on multiple fronts to include military, intelligence, societal, etc. sadly, we don't have a strong leader.

The thing about boots on the ground and bombing, while sure you can go over there now and find where ISIS HQ is at, there are thousands of them mingled in amongst us, and Europe. We've opened our doors to them and they've taken full advantage of it.

But at least Obama and the democrats know how to use the mechanisms of government to "get things done." So we've got that going for us.
