A couple of things to point out after catching up on 15 pages.
Blake Barnett is the highest ranked QB on campus, but the highest ranked QB we've had is Brodie Croyle. He was the consensus number 2 player (not QB) in the nation behind Kevin Jones (RB, VA Tech). Not a knock on BB, I've just been following recruiting since the mid 90's and Brodie is the highest ranked QB we've ever signed.
As for Hurts under throwing the ball, it isn't arm strength issues. The issue is his timing, which only gets better with reps. The QB competition was too crowded for too long, imo, and has put us slightly behind. Now since Hurts is getting the predominant amount of reps, his timing will just get better.
The ceiling for the offense this year is ridiculously high. We've honestly looked very mediocre, and are still averaging 45 ppg (I know we've had defensive scores). That shows me we can become overwhelming on offense if we continue to grow.
