Re: Kiffin's future...
As are his "hits"I understand his "making passes" game is legendary.

This is the problem with our current media (and I use media loosely). They can say or report whatever they want but there is no retribution if they are wrong. There has to be a check and balance ledger in what you report. I seriously can not completely trust any media outlet and that is sad. There were tweets and rumors and speculations and "reports, all over the place about Kiffin going to all of those places.
None of them turned out to be accurate or true.
I would hope you'd at least agree with that much.
So now, this guy "Tweets"..."I Am TOLD", that Kiffin would have been fired anyway.
Well I give no credibility at all...to "I am told", and it's ridiculous that this person would pursue it anyway.
Can you imagine Nick Saban saying, "Well Lane took the FAU job, and it's a good thing that he did, cause he was outa here anyway".
What purpose does it serve to be that negative? It's like, "Hurry take a shot at Kiffin, without really knowing anything because, "I was TOLD".
Sorry, I think it's ridiculous, and I think there's a lot of people here who would agree with me.
Good lord. For some one who works in PR or Marketing, I would suspect you would understand how this works. Of course, Saban isn't going to do that. Alex Marvez is a media member (has a radio show on SiriusXM's NFL station). He's doing his job and reporting what he's told. Do you understand they have to do their job, right? There were tweets and rumors and speculations and "reports, all over the place about Kiffin going to all of those places.

I agree. I trust this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWJD9gqG-EI and I could care less what anybody else, "In the know" has to say about anything. This is the problem with our current media (and I use media loosely). "Named him after a man of the cloth..."Related to Amos Moses?:biggrin2:
I think he was referring to all the misinformation tweeted the last couple of weeks about "Kiffin to be named head coach at (pick the school)"What are you even talking about?
Funny you don't care now, but you sure did enjoy reading when I told you I had been told Avery Johnson was going to get Collin Sexton and John Petty.I agree. I trust this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWJD9gqG-EI and I could care less what anybody else, "In the know" has to say about anything.
There was one report. It was from Dan Wolken of USA Today. Everything else was based on Dan's article saying Lane was going to Houston. One. Report. Not that much misinformation to me.I think he was referring to all the misinformation tweeted the last couple of weeks about "Kiffin to me named head coach at (pick the school)"

SBNation reported three days ago that Kiffin was a "longshot" candidate at Temple.Good lord. For some one who works in PR or Marketing, I would suspect you would understand how this works. Of course, Saban isn't going to do that. Alex Marvez is a media member (has a radio show on SiriusXM's NFL station). He's doing his job and reporting what he's told. There was never a report linking Kiffin to the Temple job, but I know you're going to exaggerate to try to prove your point since you were proven wrong with your insistence he was staying Friday night.
What do you expect a media member to do in this situation? Just not say a word and not report what they were told was the situation behind doors? Because Cecil and the other Tuscaloosa writers sure haven't kept their mouth shut on Twitter about things. But I guess you wouldn't believe anything Cecil Hurt tweets because it's on Twitter. Right?
Give me a break with this nonsense. Just because you don't like how some people use social media doesn't mean you have to discredit everyone that does use it.
You mean the one from Mt Ararat?Related to Amos Moses?:biggrin2:
Well of course I was glad to hear it, because it was a personal conversation between two Tidefans, not a tweet that was going national.Funny you don't care now, but you sure did enjoy reading when I told you I had been told Avery Johnson was going to get Collin Sexton and John Petty.
Sip, Cecil Hurt even said it was highly unlikely that he returns. What better media do you need?SBNation reported three days ago that Kiffin was a "longshot" candidate at Temple.
I think Coach Kiffin did a fantastic job at Bama and I wish him the best.
Why it's necessary for some people to prove that he'd have, "been gone anyway", is beyond me.
It accomplishes absolutely nothing but to degrade the man who has worked his butt off to develop three QB's and to make our offense better than it's ever been.
The fact is, he got a head coaching job, and he should be congratulated, not burned in effigy.
I could care less if he "wouldn't have been retained"...he did a totally fantastic job and I thank him.
Do you know what that means? It's not saying he's getting the job. That's for sure.SBNation reported three days ago that Kiffin was a "longshot" candidate at Temple.
This thread has been pretty simple -I think Coach Kiffin did a fantastic job at Bama and I wish him the best.

He was fun.
So do you thank him or not? Simple question.Do you know what that means? It's not saying he's getting the job. That's for sure.
This thread has been pretty simple -
1. People ask why Lane can't stay.
2. Knowledgeable posters give reasons why he can't stay and explain Saban hasn't been happy his behavior.
3. More people come to argue that he should stay and will stay no matter what.
4. Continued explanation as to why he can't and won't stay in Tuscaloosa no matter what.
People asked why he couldn't stay, so people have explained why. Like asking why the cops were after Bonnie and Clyde. The explanation isn't degrading them because it's not a flattering answer.

That had nothing to do with his statement. I think you are thinking that all people that say he is going = people don't like him or appreciate him. I can predict auburn to win the sugar bowl, but does that make me a barner??? No I'm just going off of calculated facts and I form a prediction. Most people saying he is gone have got that from reliable sources, and have formed a prediction that he is most likely gone. I grant you some are glad he is gone for long standing reasons, but no where near the majority. Most are glad he has moved on because of the strained relationship with CNS, but are very appreciative of his time here.So do you thank him or not? Simple question.
He did very good as an OC but we all know who led us where we are, and he's staying as the Head Coach.Back in 2009, none of us could have known that he would lead us to 3 playoffs and 1...hopefully 2 Championships.
An albarn fan who says he is "in the know' guarantees me that Jalen Hurts is following CLK to FAU. I don't believe it but he actually wanted to bet on it. I don't believe a word from anyone that says they are 'in the know', unless it is CNS in person.Funny you don't care now, but you sure did enjoy reading when I told you I had been told Avery Johnson was going to get Collin Sexton and John Petty.
