Earle, you know The team will experience some changes at OL for the game against Clemson? I've heard some changes on OL that will be interesting. we'll find out on Friday.

Doesn't mean anything at this point. Good chance we'll roll out with same OL we've had all year long. I would love to see Willis and leatherwood to get in that rotation ... it'll make the run game little more stronger against Clemson.
I'm all for improvement but a quarterback who can't get the ball to the playmakers is a death sentence. Jalen's an amazing athlete but he's not Cam Newton, he can't do it all, he has to get the ball SOMEWHERE besides his hands or this is all academic.
If we see changes, I would expect it to be more rotation, rather than starters. However, nothing would surprise me. It's a long time to kickoff...Doesn't mean anything at this point. I agree, and think that Clemson will attack that side of your line for two reasons: Womack grades out as your weakest o-lineman, and Jalen is totally ineffective as a QB when he is flushed to his left. I would love to see someone else at RT for Clemson - I would even consider moving Williams back to RT.Yea, I could see Willis or Leatherwood at RT and kicking Womack into guard. That combination would probably be a plus for run blocking and pass blocking..
I don't think the fault is necessarily with the oline and pass protection breakdown. Any oline will have breakdowns in a game and no one will fault a qb for that. That doesn't affect the distribution pattern . I was referring to an above post that stated we do not have open receivers other than Ridley. I don't believe that to be the case. I don't think defenses can really break a rhythm if you haven't established one to begin with. Defenses will go after what they see in the film...if you're targeting number 3 the majority of the time...then you're going to have to spread it around to give them something else to think about.I don't have much concern about our defense going into the playoffs, it's our offense sustaining drives and converting on third down. You can have the best defense in college football but if they are on the field too long, they're going to run down.

I'm not trying to be mean, but can you get off on QB for a second or two, and look at the bigger picture. Everyone is busy blaming Jalen/ Daboll for this and that, but many missed the point behind it all: It starts and begins with OL. OL did decent job in Auburn game... The Auburn game is on Jalen/Daboll. We get that. If you go back to few games this season... lot of time it was on OL and they didn't execute properly at time.
For against Clemson, If we stick with same OL, we can have same problems against Clemson defense....
The only regular season starter on your o-line who graded out poorly against Auburn was Womack. He was totally owned in that game. But he dominated lesser opponents earlier in the season.wait - the auburn game is on Daboll/jalen, and the OL did a decent job against AU, who is probably the best DL we have seen so far this year.
However, if we don't change the OL for Clemson we will have the same problems we had against AU that were Jalen/Dabolls fault?
Is that what you're trying to say?

The problem - when Jalen gets pressure from that side, he is a bad QB. He got pressure from that side all game long.
Just a thought.....![]()

Also, with offenses that like to go fast, 1st down is the most important down.First down success for Clemson (offensively) will be just as or more crucial than it will be for our offense. They can't afford to get behind the chains, neither can we. But Bryant is not even in the same stratosphere as D Watson. So they cannot afford to lose yardage on first down and have to throw their way out of it. They could do that with Watson. Not so with Bryant.
This is why Clemson is beatable. Kelly Bryant isn't that good.Just a thought.....![]()

Daboll and Saban.Quick question: who is responsible for what RB is the game at any given time? Is that 100% on Daboll?
