No disrespect intended to Mcelwain....But if you look at the sec east in 2016. it was a dumpster fire. I know he lost his qb in 2015. I guess I can cut him some slack for that season.

But they didn't so nothing really to see in that vein. Look, we can nit pick until the cows come home but we, the most spoiled fanbase in the WORLD, need to let our man process this thing how he wants to regardless of what many of us opine.

Link? I am Not calling you a liar but I am trying to figure out where previous teams ranked statistically in certain categories. I remember Ole Miss being dreadful at running the ball under freeze compared to the rest of the sec. But I could be wrong.

If Freeze would have to serve a 2-game ( conference games mind you ) suspension, why would anybody be considering for an OC position. If we see him, it will likely be in an advisory capacity only JMHO.

Let's try this one more time... He has a two game suspension IF HIRED AS A HEAD COACH. He has no punishment if hired as an assistant.
 
People honestly think Jim McElwain should be rehired? On what grounds? We faced him three times. The average score was 38-12.

But play calling does matter - a lot - especially in close games, like Bama always encounters in the CFP. Most are not great at the "art" of play calling. OC involves much more than that, but it is very important.

I'm sure he can. He is in the pursuit of perfection after all. My point is that I don't know crap about coaching football and our coach, arguably the best coach to pace the sidelines in the history of the game, has built one heck of a juggernaut. Now, I can criticize him on any number of his decisions he makes but in the end I am just a fan that knows less than jack about the situation, how to handle the everyday business of the job or, quite frankly, how he has been able to do what he has done in a decade even though I have been along for the ride everyday. So, it is probably better to stop to smell the roses as a fan and let him roll up the sleeves to continue his process. At least, today anyway...:D

Trying not to get myself in trouble by saying this. But the SEC was not the toughest conference in 2016. Every team except for Alabama had at least 4 losses. They had to invite a 4 loss auburn team to the sugarbowl (who got destroyed by Oklahoma).
 
I read the statement and didn't see where it specified that the suspension related to a head coaching capacity only.
 
This was all before the shark incident. That changes everything! Escorts we can forgive, but a shark?

Sure it is - if you are making unreasonable posts. As far as it affecting the coach, obviously one post, or one subject is not going to have an effect; but it piles up over time, affects the media's coverage, other fans and the attitude and spirit of the program. Aaron Suttles commented recently that Saban was growing tired of the increasing criticism. The whining after the AU was pathetic. What if he goes 10-3? The constant whining, no matter what, could push him over the edge. No one nor he is claiming his infallibility, but the arrogance and lack of propriety by some Bama fans is unbecoming. Have some fun and if you have criticisms, do it with respect. This is the toy store of life. This is a great and fun moment in Tide history.

How's that for fan posting etiquette 101? Sorry to be so preachy.

Freeze prefers a pass-first and rather pass-heavy variant of the Clemson/Malzahn style offense. I haven’t looked up statistics but Freeze’s teams at Ole Miss typically used the run game more as a change of pace and often started scat backs. A lot of the run production came from QB improvisations as well. The net result was actually similar in a lot of ways to the Manziel era aTm offense.
