Thanks - I absolutely have felt like God was trying to speak to me at times in my life. But I have never even pretended to hear words. That is where I scoff.

I would never presume to tell someone else how to worship God, but I firmly believe that there are many people out there pretending to speak with God for power or money. When I hear someone profess to have heard God speaking to them in this manner, I immediately assume they are among the charlatans.

I wonder than others are not able to see these people for what they are, but I also know that people are desperate to believe in something. These people will lie to them to win them over and make them feel "safe", then take everything that they have and leave them broke and broken.

Can't disagree with anything you've said. If you go to any Church of God, Assembly of God, numerous black churches (often under the baptist moniker), and various others you are likely to encounter some strange things for most people. If you grew up in it then it's just church as you know it.

There are many who use such things for their own gain just as there are many who just believe that way.

This is what happens when people believe in man as opposed to god/God/a god. As strange as my church was growing up I was taught to not put faith is a man/woman and that it was expected to see if there is truth based on verifiable facts. IOW, if someone makes a prophecy does it come true as they said? If so then maybe something to it and if not you can discount the entire thing. Again, weird thinking about it as I'd just look at someone crossed eyed now.

The only problem in that is that no two countries are testing at the same clip. South Korea is testing many people. The US is STILL very restricted in who it is testing, despite the VP's lies yesterday.

In other words, the CDC has given up on containment. They are not trying, and they don't want to announce the epidemic. The harsh reality - this is now in genpop and will be with us forever.
