Who’s leading QB1 race in FALL practice?

It seems like if Simpson had Lonergan’s production he would be a lock to start. Right or wrong, Lonergan is getting ignored simply because he’s a true Freshman IMO.

I think Rees ( i spelled it correctly!) probably will have a meeting with Saban about it at some point..............just my opinion, but IF, and I say IF, a TF is showing he can get the job done( and its speculation on my part) its foolish not to give them a chance

I agree, but I don’t think Saban is going to play a TF at QB unless he is forced to.

Yeah, but this might be the one time he is............but who really knows. I dont believe i'd start someone out of loyalty if they couldnt get it done.............much as I like Hurts, had Saban not made a change UGA would have won in 2017

I’ll try to put some minds at ease…. I think despite who starts vs Texas we will probably win. I think our defense will be ready and fresh to hold them at home. I also think Texas is not ready for our physical play.

Where I think I have issues with one quarterback over the other is when we have shoot out games or games we desperately need a 1st down. I don’t see us beating Tennessee, Auburn, and LSU if Milroe continues like today. It’s probably games from October on that are my biggest concerns.

G mac was also raving about ty simpson a couple of weeks ago. Truth is we are all in the dark over here.

10-21 88 yards with 85% of that coming against the 2nd and 3rd string. Only 1 completion vs first string.

He literally goes for one read and doesn’t have a second read.

Blake Barnett had no idea what he was doing. Saban was forced to play Jalen because he had no other option.

They started off 1’s vs 2’s Offense vs Defense on both sides. Milroe got the 1st two drives with 1st team O going against the 2nd team defense. Then Simpson got two drives with 2nd team offense vs 1st team defense. Then Buchner got 1st team offense vs 2nd team defense for 3 drives and finally Simpson got 3 drives with 1st team offense. This was the first session.

Then they just alternated for the rest of the scrimmage.

But I have seen other "twitter addicts" saying milroe had the best day.
I am just ready for it to be settled.

Correct. Also a true statement. I will be surprised if Milroe does not start the MTSU game.

Now, whether he is the starter a few weeks later, we’ll see.

That was his problem last year. Looks like he hasn't improved much.

I dont think Saban will do it............after the end of 2017, he really had to see what that got him. There was a near mutiny, and if that were to happen again and receivers dont get the ball, the transfer portal calleth

I think this is a different situation than the Jalen Hurts situation. I think Jalen Hurts had done a lot of good things and was never putting us in bad situations to lose games. He just hadn't learn how to process the mental aspect of the game fully. We needed someone to get us over the hump.

I really hate to say this. But watching Jalen Milroe play kind of scares me. I am not sure Saban is going to take a chance on someone who is a liability.
