but that 5 second clip proves definitively saban has lost the teamWell, we know water is wet so there's that. I am more concerned that Proctor can't pass block.

Buchner never should have played a single down. Simpson must be a horrible practice guy, but he’s clearly a gamer. I understand why that stuff matters to an old-school guy like Saban, but man it’s frustrating. And if those numbers held up for the entire game, we well may have seen a result more like 30-3 or more.
That would create a completely different look from what we're seeing now in terms of the QB situation.
Rare optimism in the thread. Love it!Can we sticky this thread? Be cool to read over it again when we're in the playoffs.
Here's to hoping that none of those bad things happen, and that he leads us to wins, even if sloppy and nerve-racking.I’m genuinely curious what it will take for the Milroestans to admit they were wrong. A loss to Ole Miss? A loss to aTm? More turnovers? I’m honestly asking. Where is the line?
I’ll reciprocate by saying I was wrong about Milroe if we finish the regular season undefeated, or if we lose one more game and it’s clearly the defense’s fault. I don’t see that happening.
If the starters tried the throw the game, they should be kicked off the team.So if we had players that phoned it on Saturday then they should not see the field again until they earn the right to play. Just like Proctor not helping the QB up after giving up a sack. But you see most of the O-line giving JM fist bumps before a series starts. Your only concern as a player should be winning, period.
I hope so. I’d rather go back to the 2020 murderball offense that we were promised. But, I’ll take a gutsy 1-loss national championship season. Here's to hoping that none of those bad things happen, and that he leads us to wins, even if sloppy and nerve-racking.
I was in agreement with your statement. That quote paste didn't do right.I don’t think Ty held the ball too long except for maybe one or two plays. It’s his first real game action. Milroe has started an SEC game and has been there 3 years, he should know better.
For what it’s worth, Jess was convinced Ty was gonna start against Ole Miss.I don't believe for a second that Saban named Milroe the starter because of some form of player mutiny.
But IF...IF...IF that's what really happened, I would suspect that this means he's about ready to ride off into the sunset, because I can't imagine him (be it the drill sergeant Saban or kinder gentler grandpa Saban) ever allowing that to happen under his watch.
Accordingly, I'm not buying that story line without significantly more information.
Buchner even being brought it was a head-scratcher to me. He was nothing short of bad in his few starts at ND and he was pretty terrible in the spring game.Buchner never should have played a single down. Simpson must be a horrible practice guy, but he’s clearly a gamer. I understand why that stuff matters to an old-school guy like Saban, but man it’s frustrating.
Yeah I was agreeing with you too. I realized what you meantI was in agreement with your statement. That quote paste didn't do right.
he's a sports media guy, they make money off of controversy/clicks. he's got a market ripe for the picking right now.I don't think Fowler would post that if he didn't already think something is up.
He asked what people what they thought about this play. Do you think he'd just stir the pot for no reason? The average fan might. But Ryan Fowler?
I haven't seen it yet, but someone told me Josh Pate questioned it too on Sunday.he's a sports media guy, they make money off of controversy/clicks. he's got a market ripe for the picking right now.
It seems that there is some locker room stuff going on that makes the team prefer Milroe, but it's not due to anything happening on the field.Yep. There is obviously a large portion of the team that just doesn’t like him…for whatever reason. It’s honestly not fair to him.
Yeah, I was not thrilled when he transferred. We got a cast-off from notre dame. Say this outloud and see if it sounds as absurd as it does in print. Alabama got a cast-off from notre dame.Buchner even being brought it was a head-scratcher to me. He was nothing short of bad in his few starts at ND and he was pretty terrible in the spring game.
What I saw from him on Saturday was just abysmal.
I'm sure he's a nice young man, and I wish him well in the future, but he's not capable of starting at this level.
5-9 for 73 yards. Ballin'Simpson must be a horrible practice guy, but he’s clearly a gamer.
It was supposed to be a new car. Not this.I always wondered what was behind door number 3.
Like what? He was already calling single read passes and delayed QB runs. He already cut out the short and intermediate slants that he can’t hit.Tommy Rees needs to call plays that help Milroe and not hinder him. Keep it simple
He also said we would be warming Lonergan up to potentially take over by the end of the season. For what it’s worth, Jess was convinced Ty was gonna start against Ole Miss.
