Jalen Milroe is now the starter going forward.

And if those numbers held up for the entire game, we well may have seen a result more like 30-3 or more.

That would create a completely different look from what we're seeing now in terms of the QB situation.
Buchner never should have played a single down. Simpson must be a horrible practice guy, but he’s clearly a gamer. I understand why that stuff matters to an old-school guy like Saban, but man it’s frustrating.

I’m genuinely curious what it will take for the Milroestans to admit they were wrong. A loss to Ole Miss? A loss to aTm? More turnovers? I’m honestly asking. Where is the line?

I’ll reciprocate by saying I was wrong about Milroe if we finish the regular season undefeated, or if we lose one more game and it’s clearly the defense’s fault. I don’t see that happening.
Here's to hoping that none of those bad things happen, and that he leads us to wins, even if sloppy and nerve-racking.

So if we had players that phoned it on Saturday then they should not see the field again until they earn the right to play. Just like Proctor not helping the QB up after giving up a sack. But you see most of the O-line giving JM fist bumps before a series starts. Your only concern as a player should be winning, period.
If the starters tried the throw the game, they should be kicked off the team.

I'd rather us play the scout team and lose every game the rest of the way.

At least next year we could start all over with letting the coach choose the QB.

I don't believe for a second that Saban named Milroe the starter because of some form of player mutiny.

But IF...IF...IF that's what really happened, I would suspect that this means he's about ready to ride off into the sunset, because I can't imagine him (be it the drill sergeant Saban or kinder gentler grandpa Saban) ever allowing that to happen under his watch.

Accordingly, I'm not buying that story line without significantly more information.
For what it’s worth, Jess was convinced Ty was gonna start against Ole Miss.

Buchner even being brought it was a head-scratcher to me. He was nothing short of bad in his few starts at ND and he was pretty terrible in the spring game.

What I saw from him on Saturday was just abysmal.

I'm sure he's a nice young man, and I wish him well in the future, but he's not capable of starting at this level.

I don't think Fowler would post that if he didn't already think something is up.

He asked what people what they thought about this play. Do you think he'd just stir the pot for no reason? The average fan might. But Ryan Fowler?
he's a sports media guy, they make money off of controversy/clicks. he's got a market ripe for the picking right now.

Yeah, I was not thrilled when he transferred. We got a cast-off from notre dame. Say this outloud and see if it sounds as absurd as it does in print. Alabama got a cast-off from notre dame.
