Also, that ranking is from when OU lost to Kansas, whom Texas already blew out, meaning you have a circle of head to head to solve, not a one-off.

The situations are only similar if someone thinks losing on the last play of the game to a team that lost to a team you blew out is the same as losing at home by 10.

I would point out that head to head is one of the few situations where recency bias should come into play.

If team A beat team B, but team A played worse after that (like losing to Oklahoma) and team B played better after that (like beating Georgia), then we do actually have an argument to make about why the head to head is less significant. Basically, it only should be a tie breaker if we think it's still the two same teams.

We know Georgia and Alabama are the two same teams, they literally just played. We also know Alabama isn't the same team that played Texas...

They could make the announcement tonight because I doubt it takes them 5 minutes to decide.

Originally I'd said FSU 3 and Texas 4, but that committee will jump this FSU team with Texas.
