My greatest concern - that Milroe thinks that he has arrived. He will be the starter next year. And if he doesn't work his rear off to improve in the off season, it will cost Alabama another season.

He will be listed as a Heisman favorite to start the season, and Alabama will be highly ranked. That spells disaster unless he and the team see just how poorly they played this year.

I don't like how much the sport is changing. I never thought I'd say this but I am already regretting the SEC leaving CBS. Yes, I may actually miss Gary Danielson, and I can't stand the guy. I think the move to ESPN/ABC is frying pan to fire. I don't like the 12 team playoff, "the portal", conference realignment. I don't love NIL but I could live with it over all the other "changes for the better"

Cajun, next year with 12 teams, the season will be 3 weeks longer. Should college football consider starting the season 2 or 3 weeks earlier? Obviously the dates are already set for next year but in the future?

I’d like to go back to 11 game seasons with two bye weeks. These kids are still student athletes. That’s getting lost in all the conversation in the present.

I think we'll have a vigorous debate about Jalen Milroe as QB, but this game tells us he's got a way to go to lead us to a NC type season. Frankly, we were very lucky to get where we got to. Until he can drop back and hit a 5-10 yard pass play or short crosser over the middle or slant play this offense is going to continue to muddle against better teams.
