The Freeze bus … keeps running over his QBs

I guess I take a wait and see approach with this one. I think Auburn is a competant QB away from being pretty decent. They have the skill guys. They just someone who stops throwing the ball to the other team. I think writing them off past this season would be a mistake. They have money and if they throw it a QB in the portal, they could quickly become relevant again.

"I mean no offense whatsoever at all to Arkansas or to Cal. I love Sam Pittman, I hope he wins the rest of his games. But I'm telling you, the hard truth is we play them 9 more times, we beat them 9 times." — Hugh Freeze
Any time someone starts a comment with “I mean no offense“, yeah they are about to throw shade, just like “all due respect“ means ”.Yeah i don’t respect you at all”.
By the way, Bo Wallace followed those loving tweets about Right Reverend Clap Trap in 2019 and 2020 with some ”under the bus“ comments of his own.
Freeze later blocked Wallace on X 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Obviously he is too dense to understand how bad this statement makes him look. Again, he is an incompetent charlatan. I'm happy he is at AU.

I think Freeze had a stretch with Bo Wallace and Chad Kelley. Wallace was one of the SEC's most experienced QB's when he arrived, Chad Kelley had loads of talent though not necessarily stable between the ears. He cheated like a New Orleans shoe guesser when he got there and signed some great receivers. He had a few good games but never could hold it together enough to play for any titles. Today you can play anywhere and get a paycheck and Freeze has yet to have any of his QB's succeed in the NFL. His entire offense seems based off completing a great many of the 50/50 balls, something that can win you big games but also kill you when they don't fall your way. Even if Auburn finds a decent QB I don't see a Freeze team being consistent enough to go the distance. Remember you can't 'just' get lucky with scheduling any more. If you get to the playoffs you're going to have to beat multiple talented and well coached teams in consecutive weeks.

Sleaze averaged 8-5 at OM. He's simply not an elite coach at this level.

I hope they keep him forever.

Freeze after the loss to Maryland in the Music City Bowl last year regarding their game plan:
Well, obviously I don’t feel like it was an
effective one. I didn’t get too involved in it for most of the
part until this week because of recruiting, and really wanted

to kind of evaluate everything about our program.
We didn’t run the ball. It starts there. We have to go look
at the run schemes that we had, and did we not play hard
up front? It’s really hard for me to tell. But they really
dominated the line of scrimmage against us. They did load
the box now.
They forced us to — they had extra hats in the box for sure,
and that’s when you’ve got to be able to throw it some.
But we didn’t protect the passer real well. It wasn’t all the
O-line. Sometimes the backs didn’t get the protection right.
But anytime you struggle like we did, it’s not — I don’t feel
like the plan was great.

Unbelievable

Nope, not with this team and coaching staff you don't
