It's hard for me to get excited because even if we somehow got past the Padres our reward would be the Dodgers.

Then if by miracle we got past that we would get the Phillies who are in our heads as bad as Alabama is in Kirby's.

Being honest, I have no faith in this team this year. Teams this bad do not belong in the playoffs. The system is badly broken to even allow it to happen.

But, hey, since we made it in, let's just win the whole thing!

We just aren’t a bad team. I don’t understand that. The injuries we have suffered and to be where we are is incredible.

We are a better team than the Rangers last year that won it all.

A quick glance shows Atlanta-St. Louis in the wildcard play in game in 2012. Single game - not a series. This was the “infield fly that wasn’t an infield fly” that led to the near riot by Atlanta fans.

I’m not sure we are a bad team but, I do agree that too many teams make the postseason. 12 teams, 40% of the league. You just know they are going to add 4 more teams eventually to get to 16. Especially after they expand to 32 teams.

I miss the days of having to win your division to make the postseason.
