Milroe's accuracy

There were some encouraging signs from our Defense but it remains to be seen just how much of that was a hapless Mizzou Offense missing their starting QB.

Our Offense?

Hahahahahahahaha

No

We are Lankin’ it up till the ship goes down.
You saw no progress in the offense this week vs Mizzou?

There is something to be said for intensity and focus.

I have never liked BK but he probably is LSU’s best HC since they had CNS.

They have also improved a lot defensively from last season.

They got caught off guard by the Aggies backup executing the Zone Read to perfection last Sat.

But they have in general been pretty good vs the Run this year and not great vs the pass but not terrible either.

Our Offense will have to play very well to beat them in BR and it won’t be as easy as last year.

Two rebuttals:
1- these players still represent the University of Alabama, where I attended and met my wife, and it will always hold a dear spot in my heart for those reasons. So I will continue to pull for JM if he's the starter.
2- these players aren't being paid by the University so treating them like an NFL franchise player is disingenuous at best.

Some of y'all (not necessarily you specifically) are acting like the fact that NIL is here means the lines we've drawn at TideFans regarding discussing players have moved. They have not. Regardless as to how much or how little these players are earning in NIL cash, they play to represent the school we love, not some random business that happens to be located in your town (like the NFL).
As to your rebuttal...

1) I've been an avid Alabama fan for 95% of my life. I've been here through the good, bad, and ugly. As I stated, I support every player but I think we may view support in different ways. I can support you and wish nothing but the best of you but also be critical and expect you to do things a certain way. I have been vocally less than happy with our QB's play. There wasn't a single snap on Saturday that I wasn't hoping he led us to a TD. I don't feel you have to turn in your badge of "support" the first time you are critical of someone. My parents supported me growing up but constantly redirected me or made not so subtle suggestions of what they expected of me.
2) Who they are being paid by is semantics. The point I made was they are no longer amateur athletes and so it isn't out of line to treat them accordingly. You drive a Bugatti and have a new chain around your neck each week that cost more than my vehicle, I'm proud for you but I also expect you to do things that earn that.

Take Bama out of the equation, and LSU has probably been the most successful team since the turn of the century.

3 NC's (and 4 NC game appearances) under 3 different coaches (including one average coach and one caveman).

If those two duds can win a NC, one would think that a coach as good as Kelly could win one.

I hear you on that.

Les pretty much did it off of the foundation that CNS set up coupled with some insane luck and some crazy risks he took in game. He also got really lucky with how wild 2007 was where at the end of year multiple teams had 2-3 losses.

He probably had a better team in 2011 but of course had to play us twice and played the wrong QB in the rematch.

I have no idea how Ogre pulled it off in 2019.
He caught lightning in a Bottle with Burrow and those WRs. I take nothing away from them though because that was a Top 2 All Time Offense.

BK is probably a better HC than both because he’s won at multiple stops but no he hasn’t broken through yet with results that back it up.

Fingers crossed he doesn’t…lol

I think Kelly is a disingenuous jerk, so I don't wish him any success.

But he's a good coach.

Honest question...do you have anything positive to say about Milroe as a player?
I am not him but I can say that Milroe is a good kid and that he occasionally plays well. The offense is limited with him at the helm. I can look back over the last 10 years of Bama football and say he is one of the more limited QB's we have had. He has a ton of potential. But, it's potential only. I believe a more accurate QB that can read defenses better and make quicker/better decisions would do the offense well.

I do like Milroe. He has a ton of talent and up thru the Georgia game he was playing lights out. My issue is since the Vandy game he has been inconsistent and the throws that he had been making became wild misses. He also seemed very hesitant to run the ball. That was really evident in the Tennessee game where he was way off target, and thus all of the "he must be hurt" talk started. He got more back to form last week against Missouri. He still had a few wild throws, but he was more consistent and willing to run the ball. I'm hoping the off week will help him get back to form. I want him to do well because he's the one driving this team right now.

To my eye he is noticeably slower than he was against, say, Wisconsin. His mechanics are what they are and I do not expect to see any change with four games left in the regular season. As long as he plays hard and represents my alma mater well, he deserves and gets my support.

I was mildly surprised that he didn’t give way to a backup a little earlier, especially if he has some nagging injury. But that is a coaching decision.
When Simpson went in the game all he did was hand off to the running backs, his job was to eat the clock.
I want to see Simpson get a pass every once in a while.

I want to see Ty Simpson inserted at meaningful points for multiple series with offensive play calling designed FOR HIM! And NOT just the Mercer game! If Jalen goes down, and that's a REAL possibility the way he plays, then how is TS going to handle that? At this point I really don't think anyone, fans and/or coaches alike, really know the answer to that question.
