The idea that Biden was incompetent for his entire presidency (or even the last few months of it) is a claim that requires solid evidence. Is it surprising that an 80-year-old man (especially under the stress of the presidency) would have mental lapses (such as the incident with Johnson or the debate with Trump)? Not at all. Does it prove he was incapable of serving for his entire presidency? Only to those who have a desire to make that claim. While I have no doubt that Biden's age-related issues were minimized (i.e. covered up) by his wife and others), it doesn't mean that he was not competent to serve. If evidence exists of his incompetence, I'd like to see it.

Here's a rational view from a conservative site:

Wow. This didn’t age very well. I guess the White House staff had you fooled as well. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😎😂😎 Maybe you should write a book.

As I said in the post you find so amusing and outdated, I'm sure that his decline was minimized by those who knew better. Maybe Biden was incapable of serving for a significant portion of his presidency, but that article didn't offer any such proof. If you have any, I'd like to read it.

I don't go in as much for all the "gotcha" stuff, @Huckleberry - the past is the past and I prefer to look ahead.

That said......if I were to reference something ridiculous from last year.....it would be the constant droning of "the border has always been a problem and we had a bi-partisan bill that would have helped but Trump killed it to help with his re-election" propaganda.

Well....turns out we didn't need new legislation. We just needed a president that actually wanted to solve the problem....and knew what to do to get the job done.

I don't lay this on the lap so much of the forum members. They were just repeating the talking points from the Biden administration, the DNC, and the liberal media.

We've come a long ways since the election and have a long ways to go to mitigate the damage done by Biden and his ineptness. Not sure if it's possible but fingers crossed.....

Hi @Bazza! It might surprise you, but I’m going to agree with your main point. It’s clear that more could have and should have been done by Biden to stop illegal immigration. Trump’s selfish actions to block legislation notwithstanding, it was a problem that Democrats should have handled. That might even have helped them in the election.

Now I absolutely disagree with certain elements of Trump policy in this area, particularly when it comes to the due process issue (not that his is the first administration to look past that particular right when it comes to non-citizens). If he’d just follow the law as he works on the border problem, it would be much tougher for people to legitimately criticize him about it.

OK thanks, Huck - good reply.

On the due process stuff - you have a point there but gotta say I think that may be a losing argument for many.......considering the massive numbers were talking about. I just don't know how you do that without throwing a ton more money at the problem.

I also think at this point there's been plenty of warning by the current administration for those here illegally to either leave on their own terms or get legal.

There's still work to do for sure - I don't have all the answers. Just glad we finally did something about it.

Yep, and the border is so yesterday...
I just walked (long story, but it was definitely faster) through a border from Mexico yesterday around 4:15 pm or so. The stark shocking thing was all of the young school age kids waiting at the immigration station on the Mexico side. I asked our driver what was going on, and these kids are US citizens, and they go to US schools. But their parents aren't US citizens, so they come and pick up their kids after school in Mexico.

If we were going to design our country to be a more perfect union, is this really the country we would design and we should want to live in?

The husband of California U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer L. Thurston, the judge who just ruled that President Trump’s administration can’t arrest any more illegal aliens unless they have a warrant for their arrest, is a multifamily real estate broker in California who caters to the illegal alien and immigrant community, and makes Instagram videos about how Donald Trump’s mass deportations and immigration policies are bad for multifamily real estate brokers and investors.

Judge Thurston was appointed by @JoeBiden in 2021.

This is a massive CONFLICT OF INTEREST that casts doubt on Judge Thurston’s April 29th, 2025 issuance of a preliminary injunction forbidding the US Border Patrol from conducting warrantless immigration stops throughout a wide swath of California. This injunction applies to Kern County, California, including Bakersfield, CA, where Judge Thurston’s husband is in business as a multi-family real estate broker.

Marc A. Thurston, Judge Thurston’s husband and Senior Vice President at ASU Commercial, specializes in Bakersfield’s multifamily real estate market. In video evidence exclusively obtained by
@LoomerUnleashed

@CcpSkipTracer, Marc Thurston stated on his Instagram account in multiple videos he filmed this year since President Trump’s inauguration, that deportations of “undocumented immigrants” would harm the local rental market in Bakersfield, directly affecting his business, which relies on immigration enforcement outcomes since over 15,000 “undocumented workers” as he calls them, work in the Central Valley of California, and many of these illegals reside in multi-family housing where Marc Thurston and his wife Judge Jennifer Thurston live in California.

Judge Jennifer L. Thurston should have recused herself from the Trump admin case due to bias and personal financial gain resulting from her ruling, which benefits her husband’s business.

According to the “Federal Judiciary and Judicial Procedure” guidelines that all US Federal Judges are required to follow, a judge is required to recuse themselves from a case if they find themselves conflicted with any of the following rules below:

28 U.S.C. § 455(a): Requires recusal if a reasonable person, knowing all facts, might question the judge’s impartiality.

28 U.S.C. § 455(b)(4): Mandates recusal if the judge’s spouse has a financial interest that could be substantially affected by the case’s outcome.

Both of these apply to Judge Jennifer Thurston.

She is another example of Leftist, Biden-appointed activist judge.

Judge Thurston needs to RECUSE herself.

Loomer may be a nut, but that doesn't mean she's always wrong. I just know the national media will pick up this story any minute now.

Oh, you were doing fine until this line, at which point your tribal colors were revealed.

Look, based on the information you present, there does appear to be a conflict of interest. However, using Laura Loomer as your authority does absolutely nothing good for your credibility. Moreover, nothing in your post supports the claim that she's a leftist, activist judge. Stick with the argument you can make.

You do realize that was a quote, right? Altering her words would be a dishonest thing to do. I also called her a nut, but again, that doesn't make her wrong. The point of the post was the corruption; Loomer's opinion of the judge herself, rightly or wrongly, has nothing to do with my reasoning behind the post.

It wasn't tagged as a quote, so no. Saying that even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut doesn't make her any more credible. Altering her words is only dishonest if you either distort the meaning or don't make it clear that you have changed the text. All you had to do was stop the quote right before the problematic claim.

Or, you could just cite an article on the judge's ruling and put it right next to her husband's bio on the company website.

Or I could go the MSM route and preface everything with "sources say...." 🤣

My all-time favorite is "a friend of a friend said".

Which absolutely, Gospel-truth makes whatever is related TRUE. Verifiable.

Like the fake Moon landings and litter boxes in schools for kids who identify as cats. :D
Like being back in high school....How many times did we hear, "OMG, you guys, you won't believe it!"

[Narrator] And our hero would, in fact, not believe it.

I'm not an attorney not am I even the list bit sympathetic with an illegal who has previously been deported, came back, and likely committed yet another crime.

But a minimally competent lawyer is going to have a field day with the sworn testimony of the agent and the speculative nonsense contained in the criminal filing, which you can read without Ann Jacobs' spin below:

Dugan Complaint Package.pdf

"I have probable cause" on the basis of some mindless speculation and imputation of motives isn't likely to hold much water. When this first broke yesterday, I wondered what the truth was simply because the reactions were so predictable: Democrats with "he's arresting judges" without any hesitation or considering whether the charge MIGHT be true (e.g. tribalism), Republicans going with the old "no one is above the law", a truly hilarious and hypocritical response from the only political party to ever nominate and support a 34-time convicted felon (apparently SOME are above the law).

Never believe initial reports is one thing I'd say to anyone wanting to know the truth about something.
