Yeah there were bad drops.

I thought he played well considering everything going on.

No QB will fix what happened today.

Ty could have played almost perfect and we still lose.

Defense got just embarrassed.

So many poor tackling efforts if you even want to call it effort.

Bad angles everywhere and lazy ‘pursuit’.

What makes me the most angry is for the handful of guys that you could see giving effort.

They tried.

Most on Offense and excluding the OL who were turnstiles.

RB’s ran hard and Germie was playing his butt off.

Then you see our defenders hand swiping and flayling around and being dragged down the field.

Ticks me off.

No emotion from the Staff either.

KD won’t get into a player unless it’s a 3rd string player in garbage time. Saw it last year.

He’s weak as a leader and team mirrors the HC.
KD has the same demeanor on the sideline as Anthony Grant did with the basketball team a few years back. He stands there with the deer-in-the-headlights stare and with his arms crossed. No emotions at all.

I think it’s time to admit that our strength and conditioning program is substandard. I’m not seeing much being said about it, but we looked really weak out there tonight. The ease in which their backs were breaking tackles was mystifying.

I was thinking much the same. Especially after seeing a highlight film on al.com on Scott Cochran's impact on the program and his issues and comeback.

I get the angst… I really do. However, how do put a solid game plan together when you have absolutely no idea where an opponent’s strengths or weaknesses are going to be? Not only did you have new players, but you have brand new coordinators too. You may have film on each player and each coach’s system… but you have NO idea how guys will fit in those schemes. The only thing you can hope to do is adjust during the game… but it becomes harder to do that when your best DL and best RB is on the bench.

The days of it being “what it used to be” at UA and anywhere else is over. It’s not just us - check out other teams like Texas today. The adjustment in the future will be that marque matchups in the first game will be history. I guarantee you we play FSU a better game in week 1 or 2… instead of today.
But; we had to play them today. And; looked unprepared.

Yeah what exactly did Gus do today that he hasn’t done in the past? You watch that game and are like “yep that is a Gus offense”
Exactly. I could have told you exactly how he would call the game and I will be very honest in saying I'm not an X's and O's expert. Gus's offense is what it is and does certain things over and over. I'm not saying it's bad but you can know what to expect.

Just read this CKD quote on Bama 24/7 -

"I choose to believe we got a good football team. But, you know, we can't play on our heels, like we're not going to be what we think we can be, what we want to be, if that's the case. And that falls on everyone. I don't just put the point the finger at the players.”

What the hell is this gobblity goop suppose to mean?! CKD drove me crazy with coach speak nonsense in 2024.

Guess what? I and many other Bama fans CHOOSE to believe you’re in over your head. You got the rest of 2025 to prove us wrong.

Yeah, that’s so much gibberish to unpack, it’s just mind blowing.

I wish we saw him lose it on the sideline like Saban...show the passion...he just doesn't show it...he looks stumped by whats happening...not mad at whats happening

In over his head.

I’m not so sure we haven’t been sold a bill of goods about the actual talent level of this team beyond physical measurables. D looked slow and weak all game and the OL stopped getting any push after the first series.
Here's the issue with that though. This isn't a cheap roster. Alabama isn't the richest program, but they do have more money than FSU for example.

So if these players are not adequate, whose fault is that? FSU overhauled their roster via the portal and then beat Alabama's butt with those players. If this Alabama staff doesn't have the players they need, but also lack the knowledge and ability to fix that, then it's just another shortcoming on their part.

I wish we saw him lose it on the sideline like Saban...show the passion...he just doesn't show it...he looks stumped by whats happening...not mad at whats happening
Honestly I think a lot of that is just west coast football. He's more of a finesse coach, his offenses rely heavily on the QB, his teams are not big tough strong and mean. It's just not what we've seen from him nor what we'd come to expect. I mean who looked at his playoff Washington team and thought wow those guys are scary? They were skilled, but not scary.

I know the HS ratings indicate we have incredible talent. But is it really?. In past years under Saban we had 3 starting nfl backs at a time. At least 2 or 3 or more starting NFL receivers. Same with most of the position groups. This is not the case the past 2-3 yrs..

So of course we have high level college talent, but not any truly elite defenders or unstoppable offensive players.

That’s not an excuse for our coaches, there is good enough talent for us to be at least competitive every week.
But; our "talent" is certainly better than Vandy, FSU and what was left of Mich. ??

Not getting a huge amount of new players in the portal and not losing many was seen as a strength because it provided continuity...but maybe that was a mistake since a team with 50 new players just whipped us

We had a DB today that had a chance to make a Don McNeal type play on the goal line to save a TD and he totally bailed out, this is where we're at and it's kinda sad.
